K/R: Silver Jacket

No, I wasn't looking for a silver jacket. I ordered it in a moment of weakness because it's:
1. Silver
2. Available in tall
3. On sale

Shown with and without detachable faux fur collar (which my DH teased me blends with my hair!)

Wrinkles in back are from packaging.

Shall I keep or return this impulse order?

Keep! The fit looks good. I prefer it without the fur collar, but it might feel cozier with it.

I actually especially like it with the fur collar. I think it is great but was wondering if it is a bit big - hard to tell with pictures.

I like it on you, especially with the collar. I am so bad about buying things online, though; I always want to compare sizes! In this case, I would want to compare the tall to the regular size, as this one looks like it might be a wee bit long, style-wise. The sleeves might be too short then, but I think they could be an inch shorter and still pass for a fine fit.

I like it on you a lot! I prefer it without the fur collar. It's a great color on you, and I love it with the gray jeans. It looks like a wildcard that could turn into a workhorse!

Do you love it? Is it something you prefer to wear instead of.....
Are you a jeans and metallic jacket person? Or maybe, since it became available is that a direction you want to go in?
I think it looks good but it has to fit your style and what you like to wear.
I have to ask myself these questions because I am prone to acquiring things that may fit and flatter but I don't wear them, for some reason.

As odd as it sounds, I didn't read excitement or happiness in your post. I didn't read anything other then "oh no, what did I do?"

So Unfrumped's and Astrid's questions are certainly worth considering.

Another thing I noticed is that some of the comments questioned the sizing.

All this these taken together suggests to me you should return it.

I like it on you but prefer it without the fur coller only because I don't like fur collers myself. Keep it if you think you will wear it but return it if you think it will be put away and forgotten about

I think it's fun to have, but how would you wear it? It looks a smidge large, but that would allow it to be worn as a topper with bulkier items. I have a similar one in gold that I had to have and it was on sale. It's now in my holding zone because I haven't really worn it much. I like the versatility to wear with or without the fur collar depending on your look.

Thanls very much, everyone! I hadn't realized it might be a tad large; I'll see if it's available to try in the same size but regular instead of tall (now that's a first for me!) I do want it roomy enough to layer as a topper.

STERLING--You are very astute! I probably need to start a new thread about all this...sometimes I don't know at first if I should even keep something which later becomes a favorite; the opposite can also happen; I'm excited about something but lose enthusiasm as time goes on. I'm trying to be more discerning about my purchases.

Also, it's a new kind of item for me--maybe even a tiny step toward a different style direction--although I remember I had a silver puffer in high school which I loved.

And it's an impulse purchase one week after I posted a thread on YLF imdicating satisfaction with my wardrobe...

I LOVE it with the fur collar - to me that is what makes the look. The jacket itself is nice and the silver takes it up a notch, but the collar is what gives it the WOW factor to my eye.

ANGIE--K2K! Well, then, it stays (although perhaps in another size), and I wear it at least some of the time with the collar.

ALASKAGIRL--I kind of really love it with the collar, too. It's a bit outside my usual style, but that's what makes fashion fun, isn't it?

Magpie that I am, I just lemminged (mixed metaphors?!?) your silver jacket -- in two sizes. And while I was online, I uh ordered a few more things -- all in two sizes. I never think to look at JCP, esp. because I don't think of them for Petites. Man, opening up K/Rs and WIWs tends to cost me $$$! Or at these clearance prices, $!
