To get this look

Then just tie the ends in a knot then a bow as you would doing up shoes x

PS it only seems to work with thin scarves the green one is a silk thickness x

I will definatley give this a whirl, when you say to knot the ends are you knoting a loop into the end?

The knot ends up sitting against the neck with the 2 lengths still hanging which are then made into a bow . It's nearly exactly like tying shoes when the knot sits against the foot Let me know if you get stuck R&J i'll post some step by step photos x

Thanks for the clarification Lou Lou. The kids had me up v. early this morning (4:45 am) and I should know by now not to read or reply to posts before my third cup of coffee. Your original instructions make perfect sense when read at lunchtime.
