K/R:Does Frye stretch out that much?

I just bought these Frye Carson flats. They fit great, are comfy, and a good nude for my skin tone...but then I looked at some terrible reviews (amidst a lot of praise) about how they stretch to where they don't stay on your feet anymore and just start to look bad.

These were on super sale at about 50$. Does anyone have experience with this brand's flats? or general opinions on whether i should return or keep would be awesome.

I have several pairs of the Carson ballet flats. I got my first pair on super sale too, and was sucked in -- of all my ballet flats, the Carsons are my favorites. My rose gold ones I've had for about six months, and have worn the most -- at least once a week I'd say. I haven't noticed any stretching at all. My dark gray and dark brown ones haven't stretched either, but they are relatively new -- only a few wears each.

I have the Carsons in a different color and also a pair of gold boat type shoes from them that I wear quite a bit. They have both stretched a tiny bit but now conform to my feet a lot better. Some brands I have to break in but with the Frye I was able to wear them right out of the box with no discomfort. As long as you don't wear with really thick socks you should be fine. That is an excellent price for those. You won't be sorry they're wonderful shoes.

Those are beautiful and especially gorgeous With your skin tone. So far, the comments don't suggest returning because of stretching. I'm going to keep watching this space because I think I would love a pair. So lush.

I bought a pair a couple of years ago. My heels are narrow. The shoes just barely stayed on when I bought them and then immediately stretched so much that I could not wear them any more (despite adding multiple kinds of inserts).

UmmLila - Sorry to hear that. This is the type of review that gave me pause. The leather is so soft, I can definitely see that happening.

Did you decide to keep, OP? I just found some Frye Melanie T-strap flats on clearance for $40 and am debating. They are comfy to me (just walked around the store). I'm concerned about stretching and the reviews on the Melanies are very mixed.
