K/R/A? The Anthro "it" Skirt

All of the fashion bloggers worth their salt were fighting tooth and nail for this skirt this year and I managed to snag one!!

What do you guys think?

I would probably wear it like picture 2 with the folded waistband, but the option is there for high waisted too!!

It is a bit poof (pic 3) but apparently it settles down after you wear it a few times.

Hmm, you know I think of this as the "Lyn" skirt, but now that I actually see it on you I'm not sure I love it. It seems rather short and poufy (and I thought you were moving away from that). Would you be able to wear it to work?

It's just sort of ridiculously poofy right now.

It doesn't look that way when other people wear it?

I love the strong graphic stripes on you lyn* and I do think it showcases your tiny waist at its best. But I hear what Diana is saying - for me, it would be a bit too short and a bit too poufy but we have extremely different styles and you're half my age, so take that with a grain of salt

I guess the thing that makes me itch, is if I bring it back, that's another $100 in the Burberry fund, but I don't know if I want to cling because I like the skirt, or because it was so hard and nasty to find >:(

Hmm, lyn. I love Anthro, black and white, and strong stripes. But this skirt is darn short for work. Can you hang it up for a while to see if the pouf settles down and gives you some length? If this is a play-only piece, I say keep the $100 for that PPP trench.

I wonder if you can iron it down? I think the pouf is what is making it look really short as well, because it does look longer in most blogger shots I've seen. (Or you just have super long legs).

Honestly, it doesn't look like the same skirt as the ones you've shown from the blogs -- and those two skirts are different from one another. Look at how there are a different number of stripes.

It's cute, but the seriously poofy back gives me pause. That looks awfully twee to me.

I don't think it's fab enough for you. Something about it is kind of OTT and theatrical... And the side view does not do justice. Sell and put those big bucks toward your B fund!

At Anthro. Returning.

The L has a black stripe at the bottom.
The M has a white stripe at the bottom.

They are same skirt.

Too bad the skirt didn't live up to its reputation, Lyn. I guess it's a good reminder we can't always trust a photograph. Kind of like meeting a celebrity in real life; sometimes the difference between the image you have in your mind and the real life person is jarring.

I like #2 best. the high waist & poof seem to work for a more polished "party" look (read less color more black making the skirt the star). For day how #2 is styled with less poof and lower waist seems to work better because the skirt isn't fighting with the top or the sweater for attention.

Don't know if you're interested, but Modcloth has a very very similar one I contemplated before deciding instead on the VC tube for my stripe skirt. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/s.....pStyle.com

The Modcloth one looks the same and is considerably cheaper. Could be a good option.

Thanks Mo, the thing I really loved about the Anthro one is that it's nice and thick. The Modcloth one may be a bit thin for me.

I should just hold out for the Kate Spade one!
