K/R Zara cape? ETA: more pics

The Zara blazer cape just came and here it is. I tried it on right away. Not styled at all. How do you like the fit?

#1-2 Small
#3 Large

The small feels a little snug in the back when I stretch my arms forward, see second pic in #2. Not sure if it's ok or not.

Size L seems too large. Added the pic as reference.

ETA: different dresses. I didn't change shoes or accessorize, but you get an idea of how it goes with some dresses and denim.

#4 Blush layered dress

#5 Dotted shift dress (Leyla, Marc by MJ)
Gingham fit-and-flare
Black v-neck

#6 white jeans, striped tee
Denim a-line skirt, black v-neck top (would probably be better with i.e. the striped top)

Agree that size L looks too large.

Size S LOOKS fine, but it has to FEEL good as well ...

What a fabulous and fun cape! I prefer the way that the small looks on you - as long as you feel good in it! How are you going to style this? Fashion and style have been on the back-burner of my life for several months - and I feel so out of touch with what is trending at the moment!

Marley, great to «see» you again. I've missed your outfits! I'm thinking of the cape as a dressy topper (to avoid the bolero, ordinary blazer or cardi). It could probably be dressed down with jeans, but not sure that would fit my lifestyle.

Coffeegirl - it's out of stock in M, both online and in store. I could ask if they have it in another city. Do you think it look too small?

Glad to hear that it doesn't feel constricting. And it looks perfect. (Having seen these pictures, I am afraid size M would look too big.) So keep it, lucky you! (As you may remember, I expressed my support also in comments to your previous cape post.:-) )

I think this white cape would look really great with a column of colour in say, black, cobalt blue or pink.

The Cat, sure I remember your comment. A column of colour would be great and not compete with the cape. It is a statement piece. I'm ok with a not so high wear rate on this piece and I think it can stand the test of time. But I also see that this is an acquired taste.

I think the small looks fine. As long as it doesn't feel constricting, it seems like a keeper. I like how crisp it looks in all these outfits.

What is the happiness factor for you? The Medium may be just right, but the small looks fine. I like this piece best when it is part of a black and white outfit and in 1 and the graphic A McQueen dress in 4.

Joy - I've never had a cape, so it feels a bit unusual, but I definately think it will grow on me. I feel super sharp!

Such a fab, interesting, stylish and different (in agood way) piece! Can't wait to see it styled from head to toe, and to hear how it feels IRL action! I also vote S from these 2, but would be great to try an M, too, if possible.

I can't get M without a lot of hassle. I'm keeping the S.

From what I can see in the pictures and from what you have told about the fit and feeling, size S seems to be a perfect choice. Congratulations!
