K/R Winter White Pants?

I have been hunting for some winter white pants that are not skinny. I already have skinnies. I was at Talbots today for the first time ever, and tried on these Heritage Classic pants (pics 1 and 3) along with a horizontal cable sweater. I liked them. Pic 2 is a pair of winter white boot let ponte pants that I purchased at White House Black Market two weeks ago. I am wearing them with the same cable sweater for comparison to the Heritage Classics. Any preferences? Should I keep either? Should I return them? How about the sweater?

I prefer the pants in #1 - they drape better. The sweater looks fine and the pattern is interesting but I wonder if the style is not current enough?

The Heritage ones are gorgeous - but (and I realize that it just might be the angle of the pic) they don't look long enough to me! I very much prefer the style of them over the WHBM ones!
I think the sweater has an interesting looking texture to it and it doesn't look too chunky for you - but did they have it in other colors? I know that this gray is one of your colors - but I think there are other colors in your palette that look much more flattering on you than this gray!

Like the tapering of the first pair best- very nice on you if the length is right or they can be tailored to PPL. I have had my eye out for white or cream pants in that style; they have been a bit elusive. Glad you found them!

Another vote for the first pair. It is dressier. But I kind of like the second too. I think the camera angle is skewing the proportions of the bootcuts a bit. It could be a great casual option IMO.

I am not keen on the sweater. Although you do wear the color well. I think I want to see it more fluid.

I think the heritage classic pants come in a tall size. I also ordered the sweater in winter white. The only other color they had in the store was a dusty pink which didn't look good. I can look online to see if they have anything I like.

i'm also looking for white pants for winter. i didn't think about talbots. will have to add those to my list. i'm going to order these jcrew pants today, as well as the WHBM.
i like pairs on you, but agree with the others that they look a little short (i have the other issue, and all my pants need to be hemmed)

I like the Talbots pair better. They may/may not be a little short - take a look at the side view and see where they hit on your shoe before deciding. If they're just a hair short, you might be able to let the hem out of these with no visible line since they're new. A tall size will be also be longer in the rise and that might not work for you. If they come in long length (regular rise but just added length) that would work but you'll probably have to hem them shorter.

I like the straight or slight taper of the Talbots on you a lot. Gives you some fluidity but not overwhelming. Good luck with length issues!

I just checked online at Talbots. They only carry the tall sizes in 6 and larger. They will be too large. I am hoping the hem can be adjusted on these. The pair I have, which is roomy, is size 4. Size two was snug for slacks.

Another vote for the first pair. Gorgeous. Do you have light footwear to wear with them? Make sure the length is long enough too. Fab with the grey cable.

The first white pants are really lovely if you can deal with the length issue.

The heritage pants look perfect. I like the ponte ones for more casual things--Or if you are looking specifically for comfort. If you really wear winter white then keep both.

I like them both but given that you already have skinnies it seems like the first pair would be a smarter wardrobe addition since they are more fluid. I also think the first pair look they could do double duty. They do look dressy but they could also be breezy and casual with the right styling. Very nice!
