I love how the Converse look but am glad I am not the only one who immediately thought about cleaning them. It would take me less than a day to mess them up. But I am extreme like that .
The second pair are not ordinary at all; I think they look fantastic. On trend, refined for a snow boot and a great color. Assuming they are comfortable I would definitely keep.

Thank you, lozz oz, RobinF, Jorja, LisaP, Nikki, shevia!

, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into it.

And once again, I want to thank you all for your opinions.

I assumed I would be able to keep Sherpa Cons clean if I wash them with soap like any fabric shoes. Your concerns made me think twice if it would be that easy. I’m going to return them and try the leather Cons that Angie suggested. I’m going to keep the suede pair for coldest days and it will be my only pair of faux fur lined boots.
This will conclude my 2021 search for winter boots. The results prove again and again that I’m not good at winter shopping. Maybe I just can’t make myself enthusiastic enough when it comes to winter dressing.

I’m late here, but my thought with the sherpa Cons was why is the sherpa on the outside and not on the inside? But then I’m someone with cold, cold feet.

The boots look like a slam dunk with the outfits you’ve shown.

Hey Irina, I hear you on winter dressing. I have found that making a good set of decisions over a few years have moved the needle for me. I don’t buy any outerwear that makes me feel like a box, but instead wait for coats and jackets that have defined waists and are in my palette. I don’t buy any sweaters that make me feel like a box, but instead buy shorter welted sweaters in good colors for me. And I used most of one year’s budget sorting my accessories into complements so I feel put together on the street. This year I put on a jacket or a vest I actually liked, over a sweater I actually liked, with pulled together accessories and actually felt like myself. But it took a few years of attention. My next project, replacing the snow pants that look like they were made for someone who climbs utility poles. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you are sorted! That's great and I will look forward to a view of the leather Cons!

Thanks, JAileen & Suz!

, snow pants? I haven’t owned a pair or even tried one, ever. Sorry, no help from me

Yes - looking forward to hearing about the leather Cons. Where did you end up finding them? I never see them on the Canadian sites. I had been looking a few months ago and never did find any.

I’m inclined to agree with Brooklyn about trusting your instincts, although I think those boots look pretty cool, and you’ve styled them beautifully.

I can’t really speak to slushy snowy climates, living in Atlanta - which is why I’m stifling my urge to shriek out my love for the Converse. I wish I could be of more help!

LisaP, I didn’t see the cream leather Cons on the Converse.ca. Angie posted a link to Nordstrom and I found them there.
Mary Beth, I’m sad to let them go

I got the leather Cons today! Nordstrom was out of my size and I actually got them on sale at ssense.com, so they were available in Canada as of last week.

So, the leather Cons came in today, thanks to the speedy delivery by Nordstrom.

The color is off white, kind of chalky white and it works well for my wardrobe, I can wear it with cream pieces. Although I like the look of Sherpa ones, these provide more versatility - I also can wear them with my faux fur coat. I like the fit and they feel warmer than the other Cons. Overall, they are less loud and more practical while the light color adds a bit of fun to my somber shoe collection!
Angie, I can’t thank you enough!!!

Nice ! Glad they worked out. I’m off to check these out online right now !

Fab! Looking forward to seeing them in action

So glad you were able to get the perfect white boot for winter. Cons look great on you.
