What a great grocery store! We used to have a Longs Drugs that carried everything - flip flops, snowboots, bait, canoes.

I think the dress looks great. Keep.

For West coast folks, this is good old Fred Meyer. The brand is Connexions (yes, spelled that way). I think I may shorten the sleeves and hem and taper the lower bit. I love the fit of the upper half - it almost makes me look proportionate!

As for color, it's always been a love of mine but not easy to find in items I love. Is this dress edgy? I wouldn't have thought so, but if it is, so much the better. I am thinking leather jacket or blazer in fall.

Thank you for all the feedback - my mother approved of it as well. But she and I have very different taste.

Great dress! If my grocery store carried interesting items like that I might like grocery shopping more. I usually delegate that chore to DH.

HA! "Sorry, honey, they were out of steak, BUT..."

Love this Una, great catch!
Agree with the tailoring to make it perfect.

I think this has the color plus edge that you have been looking for.

I always see things that grab my attention at Freddies, but rarely get them since I'm getting a bit averse to poly. I like the dress on you! I like the sleeves this length, how short were you thinking of going with them? You're good either way with the hem. A quick thought about if you taper the ends AND shorten you'll end up with a slightly more bombshell dress. Left long and untapered you've got a more shift style thing. Both fun options. I don't know that the dress itself could be called edgy, but the way you style it will make the difference you're looking for.

Aida, good point about the hemming. As far as edgy, I think I'm ending that goal for work anyway - I will explore the more fun/colorful or androgynous looks there, and save edge for my going out or casual looks.

Appreciate all the feedback!
