A bit of shopping for my Hawaii trip. How's the fit on these white Loft shorts? I like the close fit in the legs for wearing with looser floaty tops but do they look okay in the rise/crotch?

Love the idea of Hawaii and these shorts with flowy tops. Did you try a size smaller? I think they're cute, but maybe size down one.

They look cute, but they have a little bag in the crotch already and if they have stretch at all they might bag too much so you might want to size down one. I think the length is super flattering.

Super cute, but I would suggest checking one size down too. That bagginess always stems from "too big" for me. I don't think they look bad (they look great), but it is worth trying on a smaller size to see if they are perfect. Make sure to do a couple good deep knee bends after trying on the smaller size to see if how much they will grow when you wear them.

I think these look great! I haven't been to a LOFT store in awhile, and was just complaining about lack of summer clothing. I do like this style for summer shorts.

Is there any stretch to them at all? I can't tell if these are denim-y material from the picture, but if they are or if there's any hint of stretch, you might even want to consider one size smaller. In the meantime though, I think these (provided they don't bag/stretch) look just about perfect on you, and even if you don't have a long 'flowy' top, they're still just right.

I think they look cute but I wonder about the fit through the crotch...don't know about sizing down, because then they might be too snug through the thighs? Hmmm......

Jonesy hit the nail on the head! I don't think I can size down - a size smaller would be pretty tight through the thigh and waist. So, is the crotch being on the baggy side a deal breaker?

See if Angie chimes in :). How is the rearside lookin'? That has to carry some weight too! Maybe they are just sliding down a bit in the front and a belt would do the trick?

I think they look great. They are maybe the slightest bit loose, but if you haven't washed them yet and they're cotton, they'll shrink about that much after the first laundering anyway.

I can't quite decide if I think they're too loose in the back of the thighs. But then again, I'm probably splitting hairs. Love those red shoes!

Depending on the material, they may stretch quite a bit. I would look into a size down. My Target white shorts are definitely too tight when I first put them on, but after 10 minutes of sitting in them, they have already stretched out.

Christyg, I say buy them, because they are a perfect fit in the thighs and legs and they look good on you with the narrow leg openings. These will be great for your trip and on second look, the tiny bit of looseness is so subtle and probably just part of the camera shot and definitely not a deal breaker.

Christy they look great on the leg. If you are going to be wearing tops that come down below the crotch area I would say you are good to go. How do they look when yup are walking?

Thanks everyone for your comments! And Angie, thanks so much for chiming in - I'm so glad you think they work! They are comfortable and I love the fit through the legs. Since I'll be wearing them with longer tops, I think they'll work really well. Into the suitcase they go!
