K/R white pleather moto, forsythia print pants

Found this moto at Joe Fresh and can't decide whether or not to keep it. DH vote return because, well, it's white, and I have little kids and a tendency to spill things. I like the freshness and brightness it brings to my outfits, and it's warm enough to wear in the chilly spring weather we get here. I wish it were real leather, but that's straight up not in my budget or my strategic weight loss spending plan at the moment. Is it too snug? I'd only wear it open.

Also grabbed these forsythia print pants. Love the print and they'd be fun for work, but do they fit properly? Too loose? Not tapered enough? Weird wrinkling in the... frontal area? You can't tell in the photos but the print includes a dash of the same orange color as my top.

Either item must be at least a 9 to be a keeper. I'm heading to Superstore later today so I can return them then.

I really like the moto from the front, but it seems small from the back. My pleather white moto has been in the wash twice and looks pristine, so I wouldn't worry about that with the pleather (I have a dirty job plus 2 small kids too!).

The pants I am undecided too -- I like the print, but the wrinkling would drive me batty - what are they made of? I don't think they are cut well.

Ceit, my thoughts exactly--it looks funny from the back. The only reason I'm wavering on that is I'm not 100% sure whether the problem is the jacket or my camera angle/my posture.

The pants are cotton. I'm with you on the wrinkling. It looks worse in the photos than in the mirror. This is why I photograph all my K/Rs. Often the photos make the decision so clear I don't even need to post them.

It's the too long rise causing the front whiskering, which you also pulled down to semi-tuck. The pants might be fine worn with untucked tops. Is that an option?

The width fit of the jacket looks good to my eye - back and front. I quite like the severely cropped back! Heck - that's a Summer jacket in our neck of the woods, Ariadne. It's pleather. It can handle the odd stain. Keep and enjoy is my vote.

Angie, you're right, it absolutely is a summer jacket here! Thanks for the stamp of approval. This will be my first ever all-white item that isn't a t-shirt.

I could definitely wear the pants with an untucked top. I'll see if I can try them on that way and get some photos during naptime. Looks like Superstore has been bumped to tomorrow in favour of enjoying this rare sunny day, so I have a bit more time. They will have to be better than "fine" to earn a spot in my budget and closet.

Great! All sorted. Send the sun over our way - we've had light snow this morning - although I can see blue sky too! A Spring coat makes so much sense to me around here.

Ariadne, I was really nervous about my white jacket, but it really does wash up perfectly!

Next year I'm buying a spring coat, for sure--a non-black coat! And some non-black fall and winter coats, too. All my warm outerwear is black and I'm so, so, so sick and tired of it. You'd think after however many years on YLF I'd have learned!

I agree that the pants rise seems too long... I had been sighing over those pants online, too!

The jacket looks good to me. It is pleather! Spills can be wiped right off, unlike real leather.
