K/R white lace trimmed leggings and white capris

Continuing with my attention focused on my casual MOTG wardrobe holes, I ordered a pair of white leggings to wear under dresses (I also have a pair of plain black capri leggings). I couldn't find any plain white ones, so this one is lace-trimmed. Is that too lingerie-like to wear under dresses? Does the white leggings work, or should I stick to the black ones?

I also ordered a pair of NYDJ white capris (Angie had suggested trying NYDJ for high waisted bermuda shorts). But I feel that it's too baggy and frumpy and too long and not fitted to my leg. It looks a little better rolled up a few more times, but does that look too thick?

I agree with you about the capri pant- NQR due to fit problems. AND not sure about the leggings either. If anyone could wear white leggings you could- with your super slim legs, but the lace feels a bit lingerie-ish.

Natalie I think the leggings need to be worn shorter under that length dress. The white leggings look nice but I personally don't like the lace trim (but that is just my personal preference).

The white Capri pants just don't seem to fit well. I have been known to wear a crop pant under dresses in the warmer weather, however the fit if the pants really has to be "just right".

Leggings: the lace trim commands a longer skirt (midi). You wear them beautifully, but if you are looking for something to wear under tunic, keep looking.

I would try to not go with white, try pattern such as
- discreet stripes (if you can find them! ex. http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom.....60880177-2),

- floral (ex. http://dressmylegs.ie/leggings.....gatta.html),

- modern (ex. http://www.aliexpress.com/prod.....alers.html),

- chain print (ex. http://www.leggingsqueen.com/c.....-leggings/)

Another alternative is yoga wear. A white or pale colour yoga capri tight will sometimes do the trick better. (ex. http://shop.lululemon.com/prod.....omen-crops); (ex. http://shop.lululemon.com/prod.....omen-crops)

Agreeing with everyone else. I do like white leggings for summer, and have been looking for a pair myself to no avail. Just received an email from zappos that they have restocked cropped white leggings by the brand three dots. Not sure if you are familiar with the brand, but i have multiple tops and skirts of theirs and can attest to their quality!

I'd push the leggings up a little more to be more like clamdigger length (at or above the widest part of the calf) but otherwise they look cute. I have to say though that I had a pair of white cropped leggings and I just got rid of them after never, ever wearing them for 2 years. I would always grab the black ones instead. Something about the white was always just too bright and it always felt like I was wearing long underwear that was showing. Plus I tend to think white leggings are a little bit of a juvenile look.

I would return the white pants as they seem to be too big.

The white capris are definitely too big, I vote return them. The leggings are very cute, and I like Diana;s suggestions on how to wear them. I am personally not a bog fan of back ones. Mine cropped summer ones include black, grey and denim look like.

I really love the white leggings AND the lace trim. I think they are great under short dresses and skirts but I think the operative word is SHORT. The dress you posted doesn't look like it can accomodate the leggings because of the length of the dress. That, to me, is what throws it off. I use leggings as a way to balance out a dress/skirt that is a little too short for me and/or for a long shirt. The dress is just too long for them.

Regarding your NYDJ's. I just, for the very first time, tried these on yesterday at Macy's. I love all the colored denim but, except for a pair of Gap skinnies, I can't find anythign that fits me right and I do love a higher waist. I saw them and thought I would just try them on and I lOVE them. OMG, I can wear them on my high waist and they fit perfectly BUT I had to wear a whole size down. The stretch is amazing but they do need to be fitted. I got the skinny ankle pair in turquoise and I can't wait to wear them. Try a size down! How fun is that?

Sorry not a fan of either of these items. I think white leggings would wok as you intend but not these lacevtrimmed ones to me eye they look like underwear. The NYDJs lookk too big o maybe a smaller size?

Thanks everyone! I agree with your assessments. I think the NYDJ capris just don't feel quite right to me so I'm going to pass on those. And the lace trim on the white leggings has me nervous that it looks too much like lingerie. So I will look into some non-lace white leggings (will check out the links, thanks Krish and Lulu).
