k/r white keds - YouLookFab Forum

I guess I really am not on team wear....but will keep trying to buy a ticket. I purchased 2 sneaks for summer wear (ages ago and have already driven you mad with posts) and haven't worn either one. The good news is I can still return them although I will certainly get the hairy eyeball for being so delinquent.
My question is should I just snap to it and wear these or return. Neither of these have any love from my peanut gallery (aka my children) who feel they are too young for me so must be quietly ignored :).
I think one big stumbling block is that I have yet to define a style. But I am mostly casual wear as I work from home.

Red cons: should I return these? they are a tiny bit snug in one toe but I think that would resolve. I guess my issue is they feel limited to summer wear, won't go with everything. But then, I guess everything doesn't have to go with everything.

white keds: somehow when I put these on I feel very preppy. Myabe it is the white.

IMHO red goes with a lot more than you might think! You might want to include a second red accessory like a casual purse or a scarf, though. I can also see the red shoes with socks or tights in the early fall.
Of course the white Keds are a great summer neutral but, no, I don't see them worn in any other season.
The third pair is cute but I think the pink trim really limits what they can be worn with.
So my vote is for the red shoes.

The pictures are very tiny, but from what I can see I like the last ones best.
I'm not crazy about the cut of the first ones, and the white ones seem so plain vanilla to me. Plus, if you haven't worn them yet, I doubt if you're going to, so you might as well return them.

I like the keds, and I do think they can be worn into fall with skirts and crops as long as the weather allows.

I would definitely keep the red ones. They will be more versatile than you think.

If i were feeling the way you are about a purchase, I'd return it. But I'm basing that on my own personal experience. I tried casual fashion sneakers and they ended up not being my thing.

Agree with Claire. If your not feeling it, it just may not be your thing (yet?.) Those red cons should be comfy or what's the point. Maybe it's the wrong sneak or color combo. I have no idea why but I feel silly in cons but I love my superga's and leather tennis keens (no rubber toe thingy) but I'm a bit of a gear girl by necessity.

Thanks for the advice. I am wondering about the superga's and will look at keens - I have never heard of them.
I think it may be true that I am not quite ready for them.
Still deciding. Have promised myself to make this decision today.

I'd return and see if you feel a need for a pair or something comes along that you love and can't wait to wear. My own favorites are a white mesh ( old pair of Merrells) and a metallic pair (Born).

Echoing Beth Ann. Follow the happiness factor. If there is no smile, they aren't your thing, so return them.
