K/R white jeans and ankle strap sandals

I just received my order of white jeans- they are skinny, but I sized up to keep it a looser fit.
I also received black ankle strap sandals-sole society in the black/nude( not the peach color that is in the finds). Just hoping they don't shorten my legs
Help me decide if I should keep them. Feel free to be critical and I am happy to return.

Great on all choices and stylings! I like the shoes with the white jeans, and possibly you would if you choose a top in a darker color or black - even the dark rosy pink would be good, so perhaps it's the mint rather than the white which bothers you. Of course I can't see your hair or coloring - you will know best which colors look fab for you.

All of these are great! The black bottoms are a natural with the shoes, but the white might work too, especially if they bookend your hair, which I can't see.

To my eye, it's a slightly riskier look with the white jeans, but not a miss.

I love both of these on you! What Zibbets said. Could work with the white jeans depending on what else you are wearing and your hair colour.

I'll be a spanner. I love all your outfits and I love the sandals - but the beige colour seems a bit off to my eye. Maybe too much yellow undertone for your skin? Pitty, because I think they are beautiful.

CJH-I think you are right- the mint is not good- need a darker top.

Zibbets and Suz, my hair is dark so they will bookend my hair. And the shoes are quite comfy. Haven't worn them for long though (yet).

Ornella- the beige is matching my skin tone with a tan right now- Will have to look at that more closely since I was focusing on the black ankle strap.

So no negatives on the white jeans?

I think the white jeans look good how you've styled them with the long top, so I won't say negative per se--just wondering what is the fit you are going for. They seem to fit very snugly in hip and thigh, like a skinny there though the calves are looser. Is this for a flowy top-over-skinny pants look or are you intending also to wear with shorter tops or tucked/seim-tucked as in the photo.
I have pants that are suitable for only one or the other and I just plan around that. I do like the rolled hem and the sandals with them. I hear the concern about beige/nude but I really only worry (after all, nothing is really skin-toned) if it looks way off, very much too warm or too cool for skin tone, same as colors in tops. So sometimes I try things in different lighting and according to where I'll wear it most--indoor and fluorescent for office, or natural light for casual wear stuff.

I did want a jean more relaxed in the hip and thigh and ordered a size up in this skinny jean which did not make a difference- and yet, as you astutely notice, the calf and leg opening are quite loose. So, I will probably return the jean and keep searching since I would probably want a snugger fit in the calf with a true skinny jean. Maybe I will just order a true boyfriend cut jean since I want something a bit more relaxed in fit.

Pree, have you tried some brands that offer "slim BF" style? That sometimes gives a skimming fit but not a baggy BF style. I found a JJill slim BF for my blue denim jean and went by the look but also by the feel--I did not want baggy/slouchy per se, but I can feel how these are more comfy than my tighter-fitting jeans. Kind of ahhhh. It is also the fabric--mostly cotton and broken in.
White jeans can be tougher because I need a thick fabric for no show-through. I have Kut Catherines from last year and sized up--they are more baggy than my new jeans and some younger people might have gone with the smaller size, which was more fitted but still not skinny.

In one sense all of the fits are frustrating because you can't predict what will work, and it might be the style or the size or both--lots of jeans to try on. OTOH, somewhere out there is the fit you want!

Unfrumped, That is exactly what I am looking for- a slim Boyfriend cut which is more relaxed through my thigh/hip area. I will have to try J Jill and just ordered the Kut Catherine's online in my actual size ( not down). I have found finding white jeans so challenging for all of the reasons you mention (cut,size, fit, and fabric). I am not settling on these. Thanks again for the input!
