K/R white denim dress: Style Lab

After seeing RunCarla’s versatile white dress, I found this one on consignment. The first two photos are the basic simple dress, the rest are the same dress styled different ways for summer. The Vionic white flats are the same. Does the dress fit ok? Is it too short? Which stylings do you like best?
#3-4 are two different sizes and lengths of white denim jackets. Which looks best?

Looks fantastic on you, Joy! I love all the outfits but probably would pick a shorter denim jacket over the long one.

All kinds of fabulousness here. I would say you have a keeper that obviously gives you tons of options. Of the two denim jackets, I lean to the longer one, but that is usually my bias with such things. Both look great,mthough. I don't think you can go wrong. And white looks so good on you!

I prefer the longer denim jacket. Aside from the denim jacket I like 9, 12 and 14.

Thank you, Irina, CarolS and CocoLion. For your thoughts. I stuck to white with most of these, but could do toppers in other neutrals and colors. I also could use white sneakers, loafers or espadrilles.

Great dress! You certainly have a lot of options! My fave is the longer denim jacket, poncho, cream sweater open, and the white button down as a jacket. I think all of the print ones work too! Fab!

Congratulations on your find! I like all the white out variations - the dress alone, with a white jacket (the longer one) and I really like #12!! Dreamy! Also, the fun pop of colour and fit of the jacket that is #11. I like the length as is.

Faves are the 1,4,12,15.

The dress would be stellar with a tan/beige topper.

I prefer the shorter jacket, and the dress is amazingly versatile. I just adore #7 and #12, but 9, 11 and 13 are also fun! You look great in this dress!

Great dress and it’s not too short. The longer white denim jacket looks best to me, just because it doesn’t cut the dress exactly in half like the short one does. Number 13 is my favorite of the topper choices otherwise.

Thank you all for your comments and expressing your favorites. Runcarla, I like #9,13 and 14 best but like other possibilities. I want to try bj1111’s idea of a tan or beige topper, I also want to try a blue Jean jacket. I do not have a favorite length and short and long are both favorites of someone. I also think a linen duster as a topper may work.

Great dress find!! I like the longer denim jacket. Nothing wrong with the shorter jacket, but the longer one seems more current.
I also like 7 and 12.
Fab to have so many options!

Thank you, AJ. I think this dress will turn out to be a favorite. It is more casual than my EF handkerchief linen white dress, yet it can be dressed up a bit. The denim is smooth with a little bit of a shine, thick enough not to be transparent or cling.

Thank you, slim cat, for your helpful comment. I agree on your favorites. One thing , this dress has a stiff collar. I had trouble with double collars, such as with jean jackets. Which collar should be on the outside? Or does it matter?

Great dress. I prefer the longer denim jacket slightly (but both look good) and to go further, I still feel you could do lots of things such as wearing a long scarf or necklace which would once again alter proportions and give the dress a different look. You have a great variety of toppers there.

Thank you, Sally. I have not exhausted the possibilities of this dress from my wardrobe.yes, I have not begun to use scarves or necklaces..
Miniminu, I do have lots of options. I just showed some for hot weather.

Yes to all! The best version is with the white shawl/poncho. Wow!! I like when you are extra dramatic and flamboyant with your style. Still very poised and elegant.

I love the dress on you Joy. I think all toppers work - the only one I don’t like as much is 5. The rest are really good and my favourite is the poncho in 12 and I also really like 13 and 14.

Thank you all so much. I will keep the dress at the length it is and maybe even wear it into the fall with a topper and fall colors. I still need to try it over pants and with scarves and warmer toppers.
