K/R White Ankle Pants

I am on the fence about these. They are white leopard print ankle pants, tall length, two different sizes.

Pics 1 and 2 - bigger size
Pics 3 and 4 - smaller size

Keep one, or return both?

The two sizes look practically the same to me. How do they feel? What were your plans for these pants?

These strike me as a basic piece, so it sorta depends on what you wanted them for...

I like them a lot! I'm not very good at judging rear view though. Do they have a lot of stretch? The print seems very subtle and I love the cut of the legs. Angie will have to weigh in on the length, but personally I think they look pretty darn good on you. I can barely tell the difference between sizes. You might have to sit in them a while to see if they bag out.

Thanks, ladies. The 8's are loser in the front, the 6's have more wrinkling. The 6's fit better in the waist and I like the back view in the 6's, but I think the 8's fit better in the ab/hip area (because of the wrinkling).

They are a nice weight fabric. I would probably just wear them now for work before the school year ends, and in the summer for going out to dinner and while on vacation in the evenings.

Suz, I think what's putting me on the fence is I'm not sure how much wear I would get out of them, and if I really need another pair of summer slacks. We have about 6 more weeks of teaching until Regents exams, and then 2 weeks of exams until the end of the school year. After that, I would just wear them when going out or on weekend trips. DH and I spend a lot of summer weekends at a small town on the NY side of Lake Ontario, and they would work for the cooler evenings. Even though they have a subtle print (leopard), I think I could wear them as a solid. On the other hand, I have several pairs of new pants - the Leith pants, berry/pink ankle pants, and grayish blue ankle pants. I'm not sure if I "need" another pair of summer pants when our summer season is so short.

They look like white jeans to me, and Angie says you can wear those year round!
I like the smaller size. I'm guessing they will stretch with wear. Even without stretching out, I don't mind those wrinkles you're talking about. I didn't notice them. I did notice that the back of the larger pair looked less smooth at the top. I should admit that I focus a lot on rear views in my own pants buying, and since you've included rear views here, I'm duly influenced by them!

I'm with Firecracker. You'll be able wear them into Fall, and the smaller size looks better.

I think they look good if the length does not bother you. I actually prefer a bigger size.

Karie the bigger size just looks a better fit to me. I like them and I think you may find you have a broader period to wear them in.

I think I'm tempted to say the bigger size too actually. I think you will find a pair of white bottoms very useful.

I agree with Firecracker in that I would treat these like white jeans Karie and wear them all year round (unless the fabric is very thin).

I prefer the fit of the larger size and think they look really good on you. How do you feel about the length?

I like the bigger size because the wrinkling in the back and the fit at the calves looks more relaxed. I think these will look good with a short heel but I think I'm going to like them rolled a little higher on the leg. If you are going for the long look, it might be prudent to look for a pair with a longer inseam. Just my 2 cents.

If I've added correctly, that's 5 votes for bigger, 2 votes for smaller. If I decide to keep them, I think I will wear them around the house first and see if they bag out.
I don't know PPL for ankle pants - I've seen them at all different lengths - some longer, some shorter. I think Angie did a post on that a while back, I'll have to search through the archives. These hit exactly at my ankle.
I'm also not sure about the rise - I need a tall size in length only, not in the rise. The curse of having long legs!
