K/R Vince sweater, plus Ash Genials

I'm on the fence about this sweater. It's pretty comfortable but I'm wondering if the little stripey detail emphasizes my crooked shoulder line too much. Turtlenecks are also not the easiest thing for me, although this one seems to skim over my bust without looking huge, and the neck is not constricting. Is it just OK? Just OK isn't really good enough. I want it to be great for the price, even though it was on sale.

I decided to try the Ash Genials that I've been eyeing for a while, since I am still trying to find a way to bring a little bit of white into my footwear. I've shown them here with my Paige skinnies and also the Hudson baby boots. BFs are not an option right now, since the ones I have are laughably short with these shoes. Maybe the ones that Angie wrote about will work? The shoes are extremely comfortable!

Well I love them both! I have the sneakers and I can only wear them with thin socks but they are a great height.

Thanks, Una! I am liking the sweater more than in my initial glances at the photos. My eye goes immediately to my crookedness, but maybe that's just me. It is a really nice sweater.

Sneakers are super cute. I cannot attest to their comfort as they are too high a heel for me to even think about. Still, if the heel height works for you, I think these are keepers.

While I like the look of the sweater on you, you are not super excited about it. It almost sounds like you are trying to like it. Either way, you deserve a sweater that makes your heart sing.

The sweater, it's hard to make out the details on my monitor. It does look cozy -- what is it made out of? I like the slouchy, relaxed fit. And no bust issues But it may not be worth it if you are on the fence.

Oh I'm so glad someone got that Vince sweater. I kept eyeing it but it looked too warm for my environment plus I have so many sweaters already. I give it a 10 out of 10. I think it expresses the holy grail of effortless chic. The piece can be worn in very casual settings but you still look pulled together and sophisticated. For a garment to do that, is a lot IMO.

Although the fashion sneaker thing is something that hasn't worked for me (mostly because of my environment -- I need real gear unfortunately), I do like the way the shoes look. And if they are comfortable, by all means keep them. I find there is always room for a flattering comfortable shoe in my wardrobe.

(And I don't see any shoulder issues -- I think that is something you are overly sensitive to about your own body but it's invisible to me. I get these feelings however, so I'm not minimizing!)

By the way my shoulders are crooked too, left one higher so bra straps and necklines slide around. And the chiropractor informed that I am putting 37 pounds more weight on one leg than the other. I can hear it when I walk (like CLOMP! step, CLOMP! step - straight outta a horror film)...

I see nothing off here at all. I think a looser fit disguises any crookedness better.

I can't make out the details of the sweater on my monitor, so I am no help there. But I think the sneakers look really great on you!

I love them both for you and don't see any shoulder issues. But, I know for myself that if my eye goes to an insecure spot when I look in the mirror, it will always do that, so I vote to only keep the sweater if you will not feel self-conscious in it. It looks great!

I really love both of them on you, and especially worn together. The leather piping/pieces highlight the shoulders, which gives the sweater structure at the same time as comfortable slouch. Fabulous look. And the shoes are fantastic. Love both items.

Janet, does the sweater have a bit of leather trim? It's hard to tell but it looked like it might at the shoulder. If so, I got a black Vince sweater coat with leather trim and I love it. I wear it as one of my winter coats.

From what I can see, the sweater looks great on you and I don't see any shoulder issue. And if the sneakers are comfy, I think they are a great choice for you.
