K/R Vince Leather Pants -- Still Current?

I won an auction on eBay for these Vince leather pants. They are returnable. The leather is very high quality, and they are new without flaws. They are track pants-ish. The don't have the banded leg. I was not able to find the original listing or when these came out.

I recall Una/Alaskagirl purchased some like these two seasons ago, and admired them on her.

Here they are on me. Shown with booties but I can also wear them with sandals or slip ons. Is the track pant with slip ons already a cliche?

Yay -- go for it.

I think they look great on you, and you should keep them if you like them. I'm thinking you usually wear closer fitting pants, but I don't know if you need to do that to feel good.

Thanks Jody! Right, I'm usually in skinnies. These have a bit of slouch like a bf jean. My favorite part is how they feel on me. The leather is so silky. But, even thought I got them at a great price, it's still going to be a high CPW given my lifestyle.

I really like them and I tend to think that leather items can transcend trend to a degree. I would love a pair myself. I say keep.

Beautiful on you. Though they have a bit of room, to my eye, they look pretty classic and the non-banded bottom helps with that. If you like them and wanted leather pants, they seem like a good possibility. Glad they are comfortable and beautiful leather. I say keep if you'll enjoy wearing them. YLF.

I think they look great! Do you feel comfortable wearing them? If I saw someone walking down the street in them I would only think positive/beautiful not that they are out of date!

I like them on you. Frankly, I am getting a little tired of the banded hem look and think this style is a bit more versatile (and will probably not date so fast) anyway. The fit looks great. I say if you think you can get some good use out of them and plan to keep and wear for some years, they're keepers.

I think you look fabulous in them. They are definitely on trend where I am. I would have kept them if I had been able to get my hands on them - I like to think of them as modern classics. Given your preference for skinnies, these could be your wildcard and a welcome change. Keep!

Mine don't have the banded leg either - possibly the same pair? They are big on me even in XS. I am thrilled they are still current, and they look fantastic on you! I will say I don't wear mine nearly enough, as they aren't suitable for work nor are they casual throw on MOTG pants for me (although maybe they should be...). You will rock them, as long as you find the occasions to do so!

I think quality items like this don't go out of date easily. Do you have occasions where you will wear them? They look very current to me.

The only part I'm not as sure about is the gathers in the front at the waistline which might not work with all tops (does the rise work?). I think they look good otherwise.

The leather looks like good quality. I'd be interested to see them with a more fitted top. Agreeing with Rabbit on the gathering in front. I haven't worn leather trousers since the 80s but I do recall that mine stretched out a lot. Not sure how that might affect the look in back.

I bought a pair of brown leather ones and had my tailor make a few minor alterations.

As Deborah says, leather items can transcend and I consider them to be timeless. I'll bet they're lusciously soft, too.

I think they look great; I love the easy fit, more than tight leather pants.
I hear you on CPW--not just cost but also, to me these are something I'd like to think of as classics, you know, super current now and with longevity, 5 years or so of use even if I only wore them a few times each year. So fashion cycles disturb me that way. I'm thinking though that leather, easy fit--you ought to be able to do something different with tops and shoes here and there to keep these going.

I hope they are still current as I'd like something similar next fall. I think they are great!
