K/R: Two coats - YouLookFab Forum

I got these on sale and with Rewards so both can stay, or not, depending entirely on how they look.

I'm pretty sure I'm keeping the Guess coat, but if you see anything off, please let me know. It looks fitted but is completely comfortable - I did full arm rotations in the store to be certain. Still stunned at the fit.

This DKNY man coat feels like a Vince style to me, and it is in the androgynous camp that I would be attracted to over and over. I think I owned something similar in the 80s in college. One cuff turned back to show the grey flannel lining. Any issues?

They both look good to me. Are you only keeping one? #1 looks fabulous on you and I like the plaid pattern. #2 is a fun shape and also looks good on you, in a different way.

I like the plaid of the first coat and the waist definition. It's somehow more ladylike than I'm used to seeing with your style. It's fun and looks like it fits so well. If you keep it I look forward to seeing how you wear it.

OMG, I had coat #2 in college, too, and I LOVE it!!! How warm is it??

#1 is a no-brainer, I think. It's a fun crossover coat -- sort of casual and great for weekends, but good enough for work as well if you like.

Suz, it's not that warm. It's okay for car to mall or whatever, but not for really cold walking around. Plus it's got that one low button. What can I say? It was love at first sight because it is THAT COAT, from back when I was So Cool.

Funny, both these coats are nostalgic for me - the DKNY is that menswear hipness from college/80s, and the Guess coat is high school Boston prepster aspirations.

LOVE the menswear one. Absolute keep. I like the plaid one, too. It's very fun and I bet it will inject some needed variety into your winter coat-robe. I don't love it quite as much as the Vince-esque one but that's probably simply because I love minimalist stuff the most.

Angie, I can under the Guess. The dkny surprisingly doesn't have as much shoulder room - but it's not going to be a practical winter coat anyway. *guilty grin*

I wore the Burberry last week and will continue until temps get really low again! Still love it.
