1) Brought these wedge sneakers home from Target today. Fun and comfy, but I would only be able to wear them with skinnies. Looks too casual and MDAL with skirts. Does it look MDAL with jeans?

2-5) Ecco Hobart Harness boots. Nordstrom has them on sale:

Insole has slight cushioning, but I was expecting more for the price. In pics 4&5, I have calf adjustment on the tightest notch. Keep?

Do we like the Target striped sweater in #3? Does it debomb a pencil skirt?

I think the looseness of the boots in the calf is making them look a bit like rainboots. Do you plan to wear them with skirts or over jeans? The latter will probably work fine but I'm not sold with the skirt.

i agree with jules,the boots do look quite big on the shaft might look better with jeans.love the wedges though .

I like the wedge sneaker with the jeans. I agree about the boots, they look too big to me, especially with the skirt. But I love #6!

Welcome back! I like the wedge sneaks, but the boots remind me of rainboots, as well, especially from the front. Not sure that impression will change with different leg wear; I think (for me) it's just the styling of the boot in general.

Hi there!

I like the sneakers but I would prefer to see the jeans unrolled (or with another jeans if they are just long) and the jacket open. I'm going for a more relaxed vibe lol.

The boots, yes, so sad but they are a smidget too wide. Not perfect IMO.

love the outfit with the wedge but the skirt and boots mmm no the lenght throw of proportiongs to long and boots to tall

I'm not loving the wedge sneakers (but I don't love them on anyone so that's not exactly a helpful input) The boots sadly should go back. They are more equestrian style (thicker stiff leather) and really read like rainboots in the photos. Since they are not rainboots (and not inexpensive) I say get something better for your money.

AJ - so great to see you! I wanted to post on your thread the other night but got caught up in family stuff and lost track of the conversation.

First off, last. LOVE the dress form outfit!! I think it is so much fun and will suit you terrifically. Go for it!

As for the boots, I adore those Hobarts and their simplicity - - I have been tempted by them myself. But I think they need to go back unless you can get them more adjustable (i.e. could a cobbler make another notch to tighten them further?) If you could get them to fit, they'd be fab. Simple, streamlined, easy to wear.

I am on the fence about the sneakers. I really like this idea but I"m not sure I'm in love with this particular pair. But if you are, then they're a yay.

AJ, I am so happy to you here and, honestly, I love the wedge sneakers in 1 along with the muted colors and styling. At first, I liked the boots, but upon closer inspection with the later photos, they do not look fitted enough on your calf. I love the NR tee and your dress form look. Btw, where did you get your dress form? Oh yes, I like the striped tee in 3 and it did what you wanted it to. Love your look so much, Mummy AJ! ^_^

I have never been a fan of wedge sneakers but I love your look in #1. Also like the outfit in #6. I'm not loving the boots, I'm no expert but it does look too big a gap at the top.

I would return the boots. They are really too big and look more like rain boots. Love the dress form outfit!

Not sure about the sneaker. Not an age issue, and I do like how you styled them. I just think you could do better. More like a 6 or 7 than a 9 or 10.

I would like to see the wedge sneakers styled without the cuff on the jeans.

The Hobarts are too wide unless you want to get them taken in, I think.

I forgot to mention that #1 was not styled. I just threw the wedge sneakers on to show y'all. (Zapotee, tummy wasn't in open-jacket-condition, hee-hee!)

I'm planning on returning both shoes. The wedge sneakers are fun, but on the chunky side and not really my stye. I guess those silver studs and the trendy style mesmerized me at the store! My wedge booties actually would serve the same purpose of these sneakers anyways and they look better with skirts. (see old pics below)

I also saw the rain boot aspect when I took pictures of the Ecco boots. It doesn't appear that way IRL, but I wasn't excited about these boots, so back they go.

Keeping the striped sweater and the NR top.
