While out doing some errands (buying supplies for DS's birthday party) I came across a couple of items for my transitional postpartum wardrobe--what do you think of them?
1-3. Prabal Gurung for Target black lace blouse. This was on clearance for $10. It has black lace on the top third, front and back and a faux leather collar. I was debating between size S and M but this M felt more comfortable--the S was slightly tight across the bust and wrist areas. I'm looking for a solid color boxy blouse--I have a nicer black Anne Fontaine shirt, but it's too form fitting right now and shows all my lumpy bumps around the waist.
1-7. It's been a month now and I've lost a fair amount of weight but I still can't fit into most of my old size 28 jeans yet (I can fit into some of my bigger/stretchier jeans if I squeeze in). But my maternity jeans and sized up Kut boyfriend jeans won't stay up and are driving me crazy, so I need a transitional pair of jeans. I found this pair at Marshall's--J Brand Sasha skinny jeans for $59 (normally $120), so about the same as a pair of Gap jeans. They were size 30 and these seemed to fit the best of the jeans I tried on there (no 29s and 28 was too small). These have a higher rise which is nice, because I'm sick of plumber's crack from my boyfriend jeans. And they seemed less stretchy than the other J brand pair I tried on, which seemed like they would bag out and also were a tad short at the ankle. These have quite a contrast between the lighter thighs and darker legs, and there's a lot of scrunch at the knee and ankle, but I think overall they're pretty good for a transitional pair of jeans I can wear for the next several months to a year...what do you think?
So, K/R on these two items? Thanks for your advice!
