First of all I need to apologize for not being much here these days. Things are super crazy with the preparations for conference next week and I am getting very little sleep. This will probably continue for the next two weeks till we get back.
So, the TR Briannas BF jeans have just arrived. They are 100% cotton, button fly and remind me of my old Levi's 501 I used to wear in high school. The jeans have an interesting stitching detail at the front.This is size 25 - the larger is not available and the smaller would be too small.
I will keep all of my opinions to myself for now as not to influence you in any manner. I am looking for a slim fitting BF jeans, and for me to keep these they would have to be absolutely perfect as they are very pricey for me. For work I could only wear them unrolled as we are not allowed to show any leg skin. Thoughts?

To my eye, they look good! Are they comfy? My BF jeans are a bit more slouchy; these seem to be more slim fitting and the pocket placement looks good.

I like them, Tanya! They seem to fit very well. They are not at all slouchy, really, but they are relaxed. They really do remind me of old Levis, too - except the bottom is slimmer. Do they feel good to you? I love the feeling of the all-cotton on the Camerons.

These seem a bit fitted for BFs. Are they meant to be BFs? I honestly think they are a bit snug, but only you can attest to comfort level. I would size up to try it out, but you said it is not available.

I think they fit well - like very slim BF jeans which I think what you were after. I like them unrolled.

I like them and they sound like they're what you're looking for! I think they look great for someone who is not looking for the very slouchy BF style but just a slim-not-skinny cut.

The feel very comfy on! They are not slouchy - but then I do not want them to be anyway. Even though you can't see that clearly in the photos, there is a lots of extra material in the legs, particularly in the upper thigh area.
How does 100% cotton typically wear - does it stretch a lot? It has been a while since I owned non-stretchy jeans.

I'm not sure, Tanya. I think it depends on the quality quite a lot (these should be high quality) and also how snug they are. My Camerons have not stretched at all after four wears, but then they are very loose. I don't think bag out happens in the same way as with stretchy jeans. I seem to remember bagged out knees from jeans in the old days, but not much else.

These look good and seem like they are just what you were looking for.

In my experience, 100% cotton denim softens and relaxes with wear after washing but it doesn't bag out in the way that stretch denim does.

These look like perfect slim BF's to me. I'm a big fan of slim relaxed fits like these. I like them best unrolled. If you were going to wear them primarily rolled I think I'd like to see them hemmed a bit so the roll was less heavy. Unrolled they look spot on to me!

I like them, but think one size up would look fab as well. I actually have a variety of TR bf fits, some are slimmer than others and I like it that way. I think the fit is quite perfect on you as a slim leg jean, if you look at it that way. My 100% cotton jeans do give a bit after wear. They don't bag out, but they do get a little bigger in a good way. (They get more relaxed without falling down which is my perennial issue with 98-2 spandex jeans.)

These look great on you, Tanya. I personally don't think of them as "BF jeans" though, but more of a regular straight-legged jean with rolled up hems. In my mind a "slim BF jeans" is slightly more loose and baggy (not super slouchy or super loose, just slightly more relaxed). That's why I like Denise's idea of trying the next size up too). But that doesn't mean these are not fab on you, Tanya, they are! So if you prefer this fit, then go for it;-)

Thank you all very much for your input! I really appreciate it, as I am quite undecided. Now I am not uncertain in whether I like them or not, as I do; but whether they fit or not like a slim BF jean. I have tons of pairs of jeans ( probably the most on whole YLF) and the only way I can justify a new pair is if it adds something new to my wardrobe - a wardrobe refresher. I will also openly admit to having no clue how a slim BF jeans should fit, as I stated here in my previous thread where I asked you to compare the hypothetical proper slim BF fit to some baggy skinnies I already have.
Denise and Inge, sadly as I mentioned in my original post, I can not size up as 26 is not available anywhere. Only a single retailer carried these and their entire inventory consisted of two pairs in 24 and one in 25 (that I bought). This pair fits me pretty much like they do on the model here on the TR site, maybe even looser: http://www.truereligionbrandje.....aign=21181
They definitely fit quite different from my various straight leg pairs which are properly fitted in the upper leg part.
In all the honesty, I am confused about what a slim BF fit is. Does it have to be both slouchy and baggy? It is quite possible that even if I find such a a pair it would be too loose for my tastes, which is fine, as this is all very experimental for me. I like the idea of a slim BF jean, but I do not have to have it.

I honestly don't care much whether something can be properly called a BF fit, slim BF fit, or whatever, as long as it looks good!

I just bought a pair of AG "Tomboy" jeans at Anthro and I LOVE them. The leg is not so tapered at the hem, they are long enough for me to wear unrolled, and the fit is easy but not baggy on my body (the waist is huge -- i have to wear them low and belted). Are they BFs? Probably not. But they have a bit more ease than skinnies or straights, and with no prompting whatsoever (he didn't even know they were new), hubs said "I love those jeans on you" when he saw them.

No matter how one might term the fit of those jeans on you, I think they look great! I don't think there is any need at all to size up.

I think these jeans look fantastic on you Tanya! I know you are not comfortable with super baggy and slouchy and I think these have a "relaxed" vibe to them. I would not call these BF per se but maybe that's ok? Are you looking for true BF jeans?

Janet, I agree with what you are saying. It is not about semantics - how would someone call these jeans. It is about the fit - is it significantly different ( one of the favorite scientific phrases of mine ) from normal straight jeans? I already have a couple of pairs of regular straight jeans and certainly do not need or can justify more.

Shannon, I am looking for BF jeans, but not regular loose and slouchy ones one normally thinks of when the term BF jeans is mentioned. Per Angie's recommendation I am looking for a slim fitting pair of BF jeans, and I have admitted that I do not exactly know what it should like. However I imagine it to be somewhere between normal jeans and traditional BF ones - with some ease and bagginess, but not too much.

Sigh... I am confused.

Tanya, would it be possible for you to post some photos side by side of these and your existing jeans that you think might be similar? I like these as I said above but I understand not wanting to duplicate something you already have.

Hm. I think they look pretty similar to your loosest straight jeans. I don't know if I saw you out and about if I would even notice that you were wearing two different pairs of jeans!

OK; a guy would definitely be perplexed and would not be able to tell the difference between and among the jeans. The BFs have a distinctly casual vibe, at least in contrast to the straights. It is a little more subtle with the loose skinnies. The other aspect is that since the TRs are 100% cotton, they will be more comfy in hotter weather. I don't know whether that makes a difference to you.

Hmm, so they do look similar... but I suspect they feel totally different and as Donna mentioned, the 100% cotton is comfier in the summer. It's up to you whether you think they're different enough to justify it.

Question: do you need a belt to keep the BFs up and could you wear them lower? I feel like that's one difference w/ the BF style, where you need to wear a belt and pull them down low on the hips. That would definitely change the look when compared to the straights or loose skinnies.
