K/R: Too Bulky and Overwhelming?

I have a magpie’s weakness and this was 40% off so under $24, but this is very big at 108 inches long. What do you think? K/R?

I think you can pull off this sort of arty drama, but more of a contrast between the scarf and the coat would help it look intentional. The scarf needs to be treated like a statement piece.

I like the scarf both colour and texture. I would try a second wrap around and see if it’s too bulky. Maybe considering shortening it if that doesn’t work.

I think it's too long as styled. I would look online to see if you can find other ways to tie it (maybe look up ways to tie blanket scarves). Sometimes it's all in the way it's tied.

Next time when I post a K/R, someone please give me a swift kick and remind me that when I ask K/R, my spidey sense is telling me to return the item and that I should LISTEN!!! I don't have a lot of tolerance for fussing and fiddling, plus I am not terribly big on wearing black with dark gray in warmer months. Unless maybe it's in my sparkly summer weight socks. . .

Thank you for helping me come to my senses and recognize that an item is for my fantasy height and my fantasy height.

i had a large one much like yours (it was lavendar colored) in theory i loved it. i never wore it once after spending the $90 on it! i ended up after it sitting there for 4 years consigning it!

My attitude to K/R is always- if you have doubts, return! In my experience, if something bugs me about the garment from day 1, it will bug me more, not less overtime. Then it's too late to return and I feel bad about the $!

lisaflex: This wrap actually comes in lavender -- but nowhere near a $90 price tag! I think its low price tag prompted me to order it to at least check it out.
suntiger: Doubts, at least in clothing, should lead to returns. Sometimes, though, it takes me a year or two to warm up to an item mostly because the weather didn't turn out as I had anticipated so it was either too warm or too cool to wear it. But stuff that bugs? Never improves.
