I received these two tops on the mail these week. The first one I am not sure of. It is a linen blend from J Crew. As per Angie's blog post today I have paired it with white linen pants and gold sandals. I have a pair of silver sandals on order.
The second one I am keeping unless someone sees something I don't. Again I paired it linen pants and the same sandals.
Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Love the second top, Debbie! I also ordered that first top (in the blush), it's very long right? I'm still debating about it for myself. The fit looks much better on you than on me, but I'm not totally sold on it. Hopefully others can chime in about it

I love the second one too. Not so sure of the first one, it just doesn't seem as sensational as the second one.

I'm not sure about the first one. I like it...and then I don't. But I can't really put my finger on why. Maybe snap another pic if you can? The angle is making it tough to judge for sure. It is definitely a bit sportier than your usual look. And you need to wear the cami. Would that make it too hot for your climate?

Love the second one. That is a definite keeper. I think the first one has a cool sporty vibe but do you have to wear a cami under it? Does that work for your climate?

Debbie, the second top is a keeper. Like the others, I'm not sure about the first one. I'm not used to seeing you with a sporty look. Like Suz and Kellygirl, I wondered about the need for a cami in your climate, or is it breezy coverage?
Both the sandals that you are wearing and the silver ones look so fab.

I love the second top, but am not sure about the way the first one hangs that I'm not sure about. And also, as others have mentioned it's sheerness.

I am keeping the 2nd one and returning the first one. I liked the idea of it but ii am not sold on it and I would rather have something like the second one that I know I would wear often. I would have to wear a cami under and as several of you have pointed out that us just not going to work.

Debbie, do you ever look fab in those linen pants! And the sandals! Like others I love the second top. And I think the first one looks really good on you; it just struck me as maybe not so much your style (but I don't know your style that well, so wasn't sure). I think you've made a great choice. And the sandals you have on order look fab, too!

The second top is the winner in my book. It's striking and looks very good on you. I also like the silver sandals. As for the first top, it nice, but not nearly as "wow" as the second one.

So glad you're keeping the second top, Debbie! I just saw it at my Macy's and was drawn to it immediately. The shoulder line fits beautifully, giving you nice structure at the neck and shoulders, and then draping so elegantly down. It'll be great on it's own for hot days, and as a layering piece in autumn.
