So during dinner another Eileen Fisher top arrived. If you saw my earlier post, I had tried a tank top, track pants, and a brown topper. All of which I have decided not to keep. Here is the EF blouse in the same color as the tank. The color is nice. I think the fit is better than the tank. I paired it with an EF topper that I already own, this time in green instead of chocolate brown. The rejected items are in picture 3.
Liz shared a link that gave information on how to analyze by item, outfit and capsule. I thought I would consider this mahogany blouse that way. I like the color, and the fit is pretty good, especially compared to the tank, which had some issues. The sleeve length is slightly short, but that is always the case for me. I like that it is fluid and loose. I like the material, and I like the satiny button placket, sleeves and collar, which add some interest. This can be worn in several ways, and I can even imagine wearing it with these skinny jeans and a scarf, plus some booties or boots.
In terms of outfits, I think it can go with multiple outfits, and it partners well in my closet with more than just these skinny jeans. I even kind of like it with the EF sweater I already own.
The blouse fits in with my fall capsule which includes pencil skirts and fluid blouses, skinny jeans and boots, plus various sweaters. I'm pretty sure this one is a winner, but what do you think?
