@suz: wow, you are way ahead of me! thank you insightful comments! I don't think this is a style shift because I feel that I am heading the right direction with a combination of RATE/edgy, classics and a bit of personal/vintage in mind.
ETA: BUT I see that the sweater and T is more like my earlier looks. interesting. can't figure out why, though
dress: RETURN, mostly because I feel very selfconcious in it and maybe jersey is harder to pull off as an apple? I don't *need* that dress, so I will wait for some better item.
shoes: I'm falling in love with them They are really comfy and will fulfill the vintage/personal part of my "rubric". I like ladylike, but can't be too polished and these are old and worn, so in my mind they are a little bit rough. they fill a wardrobe hole. I see them with skinnies, jeans, pencil, denim pencil (which I don't have yet) and just anything whenever I want a nude low heeled, somewhat dressy shoe
sweater: i'll see how long this one stays around because of the crew neck. and it is a bit long and large, but comfy, so might be for casual, colourful, waist surrendering days
skirt: not new and need belt and a layering top to hide the waist rim. see#1
T-shirt: breezy and waist surrendereing, so might keep this one despite disagreement. Mostly I think of it with skinnies or shorts to hide the midriff.
@Angie: Just out of curiosity, and that I'm trying to understand why something works and others not. What is it with the dress sans belt that says yay? I find it a bit hard to wear like that because I get so selfconsious and I feel a bit like a blob (nothing holding me back). And for the T - is the stripes off or is it the colours or the shape that doesn't catch your eye?
