Several items I bought did not make it to the YLF forum this time. I etierh really did not like them, or they were itchy. *sigh*

Three did, and I would love your honest feedback.

1. Unusual patterened sweater. It looks black but it is ink blue with a bit of pattern. Soft, warm enough with layers, but it is a cardigan. Frumpy?

2. My take on the GAP sweater that has been so popular. The GAP sweater itched me, but this one is softer. The hem and cuffs are gold, not beige. I have an opinion on this, but I want to see what you ladies think.

3. Take on a patterned wrap top. Again, I have an opinion, but I want to see what you think.

All 3 look good to me.

Try wearing #1 unbuttoned and/or with a scarf or a collared blouse.

2 looks great as-is.

I'd like 3 better if it were primarily a layering piece, i.e. worn under a jacket or a cardigan.

I am not thrilled with one, print is too small, vote Return. Love #3 - it is very flattering! Good choice. ANd #2 is lovely as well, I like the band around the bottom and colour is rich and warm.

I like 2 and 3. I think a different base for 1 and you're set. Maybe button down or less contrast in the top or a scoop neckline.

That cream sweater is absolutely gorgeous on you! Love the neckline, the sleeve shape and the band on the bottom. Very flattering.

I also like the wrap top in #3 - great colours and pattern and can work well on its own or layered under a blazer.

I'm not crazy about the cardigan in #1- something seems off in the fit.

But two out of three is pretty darned good!

I especially like #3. These wrap styles are sensational on you. I think it can work as is or layered. I love this style but can't wear it well so I will enjoy it on you vicariously!

I like the cowl neck sweater in #2 as well. It's soft and cozy.

I'm less thrilled with the cardi in #1, but I could be persuaded with some different stylings perhaps - I love the sound of ink blue! And also, it sounds as if you can envision yourself wearing it -- always an important consideration.

Vote keep for 2, 3 (2 is my favorite)! They look great and are flattering. Vote return for 1 - I think you can find better cardigans.

We're all in agreement, here! I love #2 and #3. I do wish #2 were a smidge longer for a more "curl up by the fire" look, but this length might work with a skirt as well as pants, and that's a plus. For #1, what happens if you layer with a scoop neck or collared shirt? Also what does it look like belted and with scrunched sleeves?

You're finding terrific items!

Interesting. I am trying to train my eye as to what looks good and what doesn't, and it seems I still have a long way to go!

I will restyle #1 and try it again. My two main concerns with this one were the frump factor and it has yellow in the pattern. Yellow is my second worst color, right after orange.

I did not think the #2 looked good on me. Love, love, love, the sweater, but not on me. I felt like the gold band over the hips focused attention there, the one place I am most trying to minimize! It is very boxy, but you can still see the bumps of the girls, ruining the line. Because of this, I fee like it makes me look even heavier as you fill in the lines of the sweater with more bulk.

Couldn't place #3, but there was something to my eye - I have come to love traditional wrap tops, but this is not one of them. I sorta felt like the girls looked lopsided.

I do really like the cowl neck on me, which I thought I wouldn't. I am definately on the prowl for more of those!

Great that you are trying things out and on. That is the only way to find the 10's.

# 3 is most flattering IMO.

#2 is Ok but I see your concern about the banding. A solid would be more versatile or even one with detailing that is different. Beautiful cream olof, though. Can you hold out?

# 1 just doesnt seem to take you anywhere special. You can handle more color or pattern and more modern. Definitely plan to style with much lower neckline underneath any cardi like that ,to open up. Would be frumpy with turtle or mock turtle.

Thanks, unfrumped. Honestly, I am thinking of returning all 3. None of them feel like a 9 or 10 to me.

#2 is my best! KILLER. The fit and colour are so flattering. I like the way the colour blocking breaks up the torso and adds interest to the sleeves. It's as versatile as a solid because it's still low contrast and neutral. I vote keep.

#3 is another 10

Well, I'm no expert, but #3 is very flattering whereas I think #2 emphasizes the horizontal too much. I don't care for #1 at all.
