K/R: Summertime shoe-off - YouLookFab Forum

I'm looking for a neutral non-sandal shoe, and wanted to see what y'all thought of these two contenders:

1. Both shoes from the top
2. Jeffrey Campbell Everlys (Yay vote)
3. Ash Shake sneaker (Nay vote)

I can't decide! They are both comfy with neat hardware (studs! zippers!), and with the trend toward wearing sneakers with most everything, I think they both serve the same function.

Note that I have considered white sneakers but can't quite pull the trigger. I do have a pair of white kung-fu sneakers I might try to make work, though

Oh, I can't pick. They're so different from one another, and yet both very you! I'm actually leaning ever so slightly towards the Ashes.

I love the boots. Is there anything that would get in the way of wearing them? Like they're too much for work? You're really more sporty, not that dressy?

I had those Ashe sneakers in my watch list for awhile, but I love both. Cant decide. I'm no help.

Ah, you guys see my dilemma

Rachy - Nothing would get in the way of wearing the boots. I can totally wear them to work (California casual workplace, attire ranges from jeans + athletic sandals to biz casual). I'm not really dressy unless the occasional calls for it!

I always prefer boots over sneakers but I have a slight preference for the Ash. Which is probably just a personal choice of color.

Both are great, but I voted Everlys for the versatility. I'm assuming they are comparable in terms of comfort/walkability.

Hee hee you guys are such enablers! I wish I could keep both, but I have enough shoes as it is and I think these two overlap enough in functionality that I should only keep one. Plus I spent some of my clothing budget on a fantastic dress, which I will post about later

I voted for the sneaks. To be honest, the Everlys look painful, like you'd gash yourself on the pointy studs! I just think that the sneakers look more versatile and would go with more outfits.

I love them both for you but voted for the Ash. My question to you would be do you need another pair of summer boots or another pair of summer sneaks? I have a hunch you have a few summer boots already. The Everly are very special looking though, and for myself I'd pick those. But gosh if a side job might help keep both, then that sounds much more fun to me

Gigi: LOL about the spikes. I actually have a pair of hot pink Doc Marten-like boots with spikier spikes along that back. Now those boots can do some serious damage

Aida: Too many boots, What? Let's see, for summer boots I have one pair of perforated buttermilk Carsons and one pair of white Docs. The rest of my boots are heavier and darker in color (well, except for the aforementioned hot pink boots, which are pretty much a special occasion boot). But I definitely have more boot options than sneak options! Good point
