I ordered a bunch of stuff from Nordstrom to try out. Sorry for the deluge and thanks for your help sorting these out! Any of these black and white stripe tops worth keeping?

1-2. Michael Kors ruched side zip top
3. Bailey 44 striped tank size S
4. Bailey 44 striped tank size M (which size looks better?)
5. Ella Moss striped tunic tee (black and grey)
6-8. Bobeau sheer striped banded waist tunic size S (wearing a black tank under it).

Love LOVE the Bailey striped tank in 3-4 and the Bobeau tunic in 6-8. Not crazy about the others.

The Bailey and the Bobeau look good as the stripes are running on the diagonal across your midsection rather than horizontally. Keep!

Another vote for B44 and Bobeau. The MK ruching doesn't seem to hit you at the right place while the other one is too tight over the hip and this making a feature of your tummy (sorry! you know it's the top and not you, right? YOU are beautiful, a gorgeous apple, the shirt is probably okay for ITs but not worthy of you.)

I vote keep the B44 top (although it's body conscious and not forgiving of poochiness, so watch that) and keep the Bobeau top. Return the rest.

I like the Bobeau tunic and the B44 tank (in S, but there's not a huge difference in sizing). Not crazy about #5.

Thanks everyone! I'm keeping the Bobeau top for now, but have an XS on order to see if that is a better fit (since the other turquoise Bobeau top fit better in XS). And I'm holding onto the S B44 for now to see if it will work for my lifestyle (good point Claire). I usually don't wear tanks by themselves, but I think it could work as a good layering piece under my patterned blouses to get some print mixing going. I see that it went on sale, so I will get a price adjustment on it too. I would rather have kept the long sleeve MK top since I usually wear sleeved tops, but I agree the horizontal stripes (esp on the Ella Moss) are really unkind to apples so I returned both of those. You guys are right about the diagonal stripes being better!

3 and 6 look great! You made the right choice. I have a similar top to the B44 tank and I use it under jackets, cardigans, etc. it has to p very hot for me to wear a tank on its own.

4 and 8 are so flattering on you. The larger top slims the tummy much better and I think the boldness of these tops more suits your coloring and style. The others are just 'ok'
