K/R: Striped blazer from H&M

I bought this blazer a few weeks ago. It's been too hot to wear one, so I haven't been motivated to decide if I should keep it. It's this one: http://www.hm.com/ca/product/00392?article=00392-A I keep thinking about returning it, but when I try it on I like it.

Do you think it's a good one for fall? Or, should I return it and try the burgundy from the Gap. Or do I need them both I didn't style it, just popped it over what I had on today. (Bonus--pictures of my ebay Gap boyfriend jeans. I'm having trouble loving these oxfords, but think I'll like them better when I wear them with longer pants).

Anyway, thanks for looking and any advice is welcome and appreciated!!

I LOVE the entire outfit, just as-is!

Whether or not you should opt for the burgundy blazer instead probably depends on what color your wardrobe needs more. I'd probably try the Gap one on before returning the H&M, too, in case it doesn't fit as well.

Thanks Rae! I just had to take my 18yo her lunch she forgot and she gave me a big thumbs up on the outfit sans the jacket... The burgundy jacket and this one are definitely completely different choices. This one is more like a jeans jacket and actually looks great with shorts, etc, but it's too hot for that right now. It's hard to decide these things in the summer!

I have tried both jackets actually - jeje- the side effects of trying to keep busy during lunch breaks. They have a completely different vibe. In that sense, it would not be duplication if you end up keeping both. As you said: the H&M is a denim material whereas the GAP ones is a heavy knit fabric. The GAP one is a bit more dressy.

Man, if that's the way you look when you're not trying to style things...

Great jacket, great outfit. If the jacket isn't duplicating something similar in your wardrobe, I'd keep it. It looks like it could be very versatile.

In my opinion, that seersucker type of texture on the H&M one has a more summery feel to me, but the fabric weight is more like all season. The GAP is definitely fall material, due to the color especially. However, there are no rules these days, I think.
