K/R straight leg jeans - YouLookFab Forum

I'm oficially finished with SYC, I have set aside the money I plan to spend on my new clarinet.

I thought I really needed to have some better denim options, so I went jeans shopping today. And that's always difficult for me, both because of fit problems and because I'm still a bit sensitive about the way I look in jeans.

I planned to look for the light colored Boyfriend jeans at H&M, but they didn't have anything near my size left. I'm going to look in another H&M tomorrow though. In the end I ended up trying lots of marked down denim in another store and this one came home with me. But you all have to help me decide if they are worth keeping, I just don't feel like I'm objective when it comes to jeans.

I think the length works well and they do work tucked into my boots. They feel like they would get a bit baggier with wear, but I'm not sure how much. The waist is just a tiny bit too wide, but that's normal. I'd probably always wear a belt anyway, because I like the semi-tuck so much. The difference between light and dark wash fabric isn't as harsh IRL as it looks in the pictures.

I confess that I might have been a bit biased because they were such a great price, only 20€ (instead of 70€). But please be honest, they should be worth keeping irrespective of the price.

Please help me out with this, I know I can't be objective. Also, how's the rear view?

The jeans look like they fit you really well from both the front and the rear views. They also look good tucked into your boots and with the flats. I would keep them!

Are you going to be ok with the fact that they are still on the darker side and not boyfriends? If they still add enough variety for you, then I think they're good.

Good job saving for your clarinet

Thanks Rae! My only real denim jeans (if you don't count the black ones and cords) are a pair of skinnies, a pair of dark wash boyfriend jeans and two pair of bootcuts. So I think these would definitely be useful. I'm going to see if I find the H&M BFs in my size tomorrow, they were a nice denim, light colored for spring and summer and also only 40€. I tried the too big ones and they seemed promising.

Thanks Suz! I also think they will be versatile. And I think I also like them much better tucked into the boots than I do those other skinnies I have. As for the clarinet, now I just have to wait until my music teacher can test some instruments. I do have enough money to get a new one I had my eye on, but he wants to try finding a used instrument first. That way I might get a higher quality instrument for the same money.

As a rectangle with very few curves, I have to say that I am a wee bit jealous of how you look in your jeans. So so fabulous!

First of all, congratulations on saving the money for your clarinet. I bet these jeans feel even sweeter knowing they didn't come at the expense of something important like that!

Secondly, these jeans look fantastic on you, both front and rear views! I don't know what sensitivities you have about trying on jeans, but you should throw them out the window and wear these confidently - you look lovely!

Astrid, Did I tell you already played clarinet for years in school? I still have an old one (not the one I played back then but one I bought years later at a garage sale) and once in a while I do get it out and play - but I"m not very good with it these days.
