I bought these Sorel boots to provide an alternative to tall boots for wearing with skinny pants in cold/wet weather.

I have worn them around the house a bit and they are quite comfortable. They seem tall and wide enough in the shaft that I can comfortably tuck skinny jeans into them and the jeans do not bunch up or shift around too much with movement.

So, they seem to have the desired functionality. But do they look ok?

I anticipate wearing them most often with lower contrast bottoms (black leggings or dark skinny jeans) but tried them here with my mid wash skinnies basically to push the boundaries. (Like, if they work here they'll def be ok with my darker pants.)

They are a bit stompier than my usual style but I like the idea of juxtaposing their toughness with my more vintagey items.

I'm mainly posting for feedback bc I'm so used to the tall boots and skinnies formula that I'm afraid I'm missing something!
