k/R Sorel sandals - YouLookFab Forum

I’m not usually indecisive when it comes to footwear but I can’t decide if these are ridiculous or kind of cool . They tick off all the boxes for wearing to work : athletic/ graphic vibe , comfort and bright colour . I don’t love the flap created by tightening the Velcro around my ankle as much as I wanted to but I loosened it a bit to have the Velcro lay flat and it’s ok . I think it’s the flared sole that I can’t decide on. Is it too weird and does it make my foot look huge ?

Yes , there is a giant mess behind me as I’m going through all of my shoes and sneakers and doing a major editing .

Worn here with a pair of cropped - ish linen pants and the Agency cropped wide leg shown in blog post this morning . These are gorgeous pants - I do wish they were just a smidge lower in the rise though but the quality is fab . Monday afternoon and I had to wait in line at the Aritzia fitting room . What ??

The less chunky Sorel sandals have been around for a few years now and a few forum members have them . I wasn’t necessarily looking for white , but I have lots of black and black/ white sandals already . What I did go into that store for ( Browns ) is the nicest square toe , higher vamp flat that I’ve ever tried on. I’ll have to do an on line order for them as my size was out of stock .

Also : the Aritzia Agency pants are going back . They are a fully lined crepe and really a F/W pant for me . I’ll deal with them again in September

I like Sorel sneakers ( some bright colors are so fun! ) but haven't found the right style so far ( high arch and high instep ).

Love them, but I'm biased because I have them on order myself. I have a feeling, however, that they are going to look huge on my size 10 feet. On a smaller foot like yours they are really cute. I looked at the measurements and sized down. Did you buy your regular size?

I love them on you. I feel their visual weight is balancing and flattering. Fresh!

These are a 38, and I usually take a 39. But Sorel isn't European so I'm not sure why they are sized that way . I'm a very average 8 in most shoes. I didn't even think to size down as I did try the 39 at first and it was ridiculously large.

That all said, you've all convinced me that they are keepers ! They aren't overly pricey so I feel like I can go outside the box here a bit I plan to wear them tomorrow with a parachute/cargo nylon pant with cord detailing at the ankle, a white ribbed tank (breaking the dress code like I do , lol) and my uniform track-style jacket.

I just bought the exact same ones! I saw the earlier version on a Suz post and tracked them down. I can't wait for it to be warm enough to wear them. I do also think they look a bit long on you though. Do you have time to try a smaller pair? Just to be sure? (Maybe you are)

These are almost identical to the ones I own and have had since 2020. Like you, i'm not a huge fan of the velcro on them around the ankle in particular (same reason) but the leather does soften a bit over time and the adjustability is really a good feature if you are out in the heat and your feet or ankles swell. Mine have held up beautifully. I don't wear them for hikes or anything but I do wear them around the neighbourhood on some hilly walks and the flared heel makes them stable for a shoe of this height. Lots of cushioning, obviously. I find them relatively comfortable and fun -- they add some juxtaposition to dresses, and they also work with pants. I like the added height they give me.

The fact that they've been making these for years suggests they're a popular style for the brand.

sigh, is it ever going to be warm enough to wear sandals - its May 2nd at we have a high temp of 40F/4C...its just not right.

anyway, i love them. cute and trendy, but not so trendy that they will look "funny" 2 years from now

Wearing them today ! The size is right - I think the style nudges my foot forward is all . I love the added height !
