K/R Shoes to go with grey trousers

So, three of the four pairs I ordered arrived today. The Easy Spirit pair is on backorder, so we'll see if it comes (my first order with them, and I have been very displeased with communication. I learned they were back ordered when I received the other pair I ordered. No e-mail. No notice when I ordered them that they were backordered. Very frustrating.)

#1 Joe's Boots - not even up for K/R. They are going back. They are too narrow in the pointed toe for walk the dog comfort. Bright silver, solid sole, very nice bootie. Just for someone with narrower feet.

#2. Clark's hotel dream. Fit like a dream. Comfy right out of the box, good traction, very comfortable. Serious contender.

#3. These are actually almost exactly the same color as #2. I got both as I thought one was going to be bright silver. Also great traction, also very comfortable.

I don't think I need 2 pairs of silver shoes this close o each other. Seriously, they look almost identical except for the trim on #3.

What do you all think? As comfort is essentially the same for both, and they are within $10 of each other, which do you think offers more style / versatility,

Hmmm... that's a tough choice. If they were black, I'd choose #3 for the added interest, but I think I like the simplicity of #2 best. I can imagine these dressing up or down. It's a good thing to know that you have something that will work!

Oh tough one. Online colors are so deceptive, aren't they? I prefer the brogues just because I almost always think that brogues or cap toes are more flattering than a plain front on oxfords.

I would choose #2 because it's a more feminine masculine look, if you will. However, I realize that may be the exact opposite you're looking for;-)

Online colors are awful. Seriously, I thought #3 was going to be the same color as #1 - bright silver. Not even close.

What a disappointment! I wondered about the color of #3 since both Clarks models are called dark pewter metallic. However, I still prefer #3 over #2. I love wingtips for women, kind of like Annie Hall.

Hotel dream and Hamble oak are both winners! It's going to be tough to pick. I ended up going with the more streamlined Hotel style but I'm still tempted by the Hamble. Good luck!

Thistle, I'm torn. I like both of them. My gut is to go with the plainer style, given your WIWs and also your gorgeous watch style, which is streamlined and modern. I'm really drawn to brogue styling personally. And I have a pair that I got several years ago. But I have two pairs of plainer oxfords that I've bought within the last year, and I think the plain toes are feeling more current to me right now.

Very difficult to choose between #2 and #3. They're both really smart. The silver brogues look more feminine. However, the plain oxfords look more versatile and somehow 'modern' to my eye. Since they're both the same colour IRL, I think #2 may be a better choice.

I like the brogue styling best, like Echo I see the detailing as more feminine than the plain front. And I wouldn't let the detailing keep me from wearing the shoes in any outfit that I could wear the plain ones with, so it's just a plus... I do tend towards maximal dressing though, so if you think the brogue would feel restrictive, perhaps plain would be more versatile for you.

Honestly, #2 and #3 are both awesome so I feel you can not make a big mistake. Maybe try them both with the trousers/outfits you were planning to wear them with and post some photos of those - that should help with the decision.

They're both great shoes but I think I like #3 slightly better. Probably because it's slightly more feminine and I don't like overly masculine shoes.

I like #2 but I'm liking simpler these days, and the darker metallic appeals to me. But since you say #3 is the same color as that IRL, it becomes a little tougher to say. I think it depends on whether you feel like your trouser outfits could use a little more detail in the footwear, or whether a more streamlined look is what you are after. Ditto to the suggestion of trying them both on with an outfit or two to see how you feel about each, and share with us if you want!

The two pair of shoes (numbers 2 and 3) are gorgeous.

I doubt I could pick between the two in real life. I love the added interest of number 3. I love the clean lines of number 2.

If you twisted my arm, I would go with number 3 for the added interest.

Since you wear them with pants, I think I'd like to see the detail of the brogue peeking out. But you couldn't go wrong with either pair.

The brogue detailing appeals to me but maybe the simpler pair would be more versatile. I'd say at this point is #2 is more comfortable, go with those.

Tough choice. I'm thinking the brogue might look a little better with the forefront creasing that comes with wear? I think as you try them with your pants the answer will emerge. . .

#2 looks sleeker and #3 adds a little more detail. Depends on what you want to bring to your walk looks. How interesting that they're nearly the same color when the stock photos look so different!
