K/R Shoes and boots from Rack

An innocent trip to the Rack to look for that bag Angie saw in NYC and the Janet Jacket and I came home with 3 pair of shoes/boots that I need help deciding on keep or return (k/r) (excuse the remnants of work outfit )
1. Vince Camuto open toe "nude" shoes. Heel is tapered chunky wood, are these still in style? With the open toe I wouldn't wear hosiery so will they be very sweaty on top of foot? Ugh. (they were only $22)
2-3 Michael Kors booties (I am replacing black booties and want a pair to wear with pants and dresses. Will the wedge still be in style (it's so comfy) Not a lot of gap. ($41) The alternate I was considering are in #6 Clark's Ruby
4-5 Miz Mooz boots(?) I don't particularly NEED grey boots, but I do wear a lot of grey and these are quite comfy. Are they my style? Do they hit at a good point? Are the covered buttons too cool for me? I think Rae tried these.

Help please.

I really like all of these. The peep toe booties are cute, but I wonder if they would be versatile. I would wear the booties and the tall boots myself.

I don't think #1 work as nude shoes on you. They're a bit too yellow, and forgive me for saying this, but I don't like that colour with your skin tone. You can do better!

I like #2! I feel like the wide ankle makes them edgy but might give you a bit of trouble with pants.

I'm so-so on #3. I feel like they have an odd shape to the foot part of the shoe.

I have similar Clarks boots and I have worn them out and ordered a second pair! I do think the ones from the Rack are more stylish - just a bit edgier and unexpected. I have XW feet and fewer options, LOL.

I agree w/ Bella on the first ones - maybe I just don't know how to wear shoes like that, though. They do look cute.

LOVE the gray boots. If they fit you and aren't a budget buster I say keep them!

About the first pair of toeless shooties being sweaty: it depends on the leather, I should think. I bought a pair of tan toeless boots last year at a sample sale. They were beautiful soft leather, but I was still a little skeptical because (a) they needed to be worn sans hose, so warm weather, and would that mean sweaty feet? and (b) not sure about the whole toeless bootie/shootie thing. Well, as it turns out, they are awesome. I wore them lots! But not so much during the day in the summer. I found that they were the perfect thing for warm evenings, or even for the daytime in the spring, but they did indeed get a little sweaty on hot summer days. And the look of toeless boots has grown on me. At first I thought it was maybe a little silly, but they really do look great with a lot of clothes. Your shooties are along the same lines (they're really cute!) so you might find you get more wear out of them than you'd think.

I like both the second and third pairs, but I'm not crazy about the first. Aside from the fact that I, like Bella, think open toe booties would not be very versatile, I also don't like how the color and texture is looking on your foot. The color is not *quite* nude, and to be blunt the texture/uneven coloration is making it look like you have some very weird bruising or discoloration on your foot.

I love 1. 2, and 5. How the heck did you get so lucky? Which Rack did you go to? The store at Fair Oaks? I never get lucky at the Rack when it comes to shoes.

Thank you I think I had sale blinders on with the Vince Camuto's. I have never been a fan of toeless booties (thanks for verbalizing my thoughts Elisabeth) and they are an odd color so even at a killer price they will go back.
I think I'm going to order the Clarks and compare before returning the booties. Aside from comfort comparison I need to decide if I'll get more longevity from the regular heel or the wedge.
I'm still kind of Meh on the Miz Mooz so they may go back as well. Again it was sale blinders. They are comfortable, but I think I would not have looked at them at full price so that's the real test right?
Citygirl - I go to the one at Dulles by me. It's not too big (think about the size of the bag department in NYC - ok maybe times 2), but I can always find something. Yesterday was the start of their fall/winter clearance push and some things got marked down a second (or third) time so the picking was good. Have you tried the one at Pentagon City?

I like the Camuto and Mix Mooz best. Especially the latter, I think you will find multiple use for them. Very classic with a twist (buttons), so pretty.

I don't care too much for the MK ankle boots... gaping at the ankle.

Did you find the bag or the jacket? I'm heading there today to exchange a blouse I purchased at Zara. I can pick them up for you if you'd like - If they are still there!

I know which bag it is. I'm not sure about the jacket. Can you describe it?

I absolutely LOVE the long boots in photo 5! The buttons up the side give such a Victorian vibe, they would be amazing with skinny jeans or tucked in cigarette pants and a patterned/pussy bow/ruffled blouse.

Keep these ones for sure, they are beautiful!

I looooove the button boots! I looked and looked for a pair with a similar kind of detail without sky-high heels when I was shopping for graduation wear, and never found a pair to suit me or my budget. They might be a little hard to style if you feel that they are too "cool" for you, but I think you can make them work!

I don't think I like the tan shoes at all, and I am not really a fan of the wedge ankle boot look, so I have a bit of a "poisoned eye" for those. I do like the Clarks, though. Every pair of Clarks I've ever had I loved, so they might be perfect!

Ok some late love for the MM. I'll see if they fit with my skinnies and that might save them.

Zap you're so sweet to offer to shop for me. I did try the jacket in red, but I didn't love it. I can't remember the brand, but it was knit with ruched sleeves. They did not have the bag, but I wanted to feel it again and check the size so I think I'll wait. My store restocks on Thursday so they still might get it..

I saw that bag, it was delish. I am so flagged on bags right now but if I wasn't it would be lovely for spring. I like mm the best. I think you can do better on low contrast/nude summer shoes and booties. There are so many options out there right now. Sale blinders is one of the reasons I stay away from discount stores for the most part. I end up buying because things are a good deal, not necessarily because they are good for me.

I love the MM -- they look great! I think I prefer the Clark's to the Kors booties.

As for the nude shoe, I don't know about you but I never find a nude shoe that really matches my skin tone (I'm so pale and have a lot of bluish undertone in my skin so most of those tones look warm on me by default), so I don't feel so much like a nude shoe has to match your skin. I'd be more concerned whether the color and style works with your wardrobe.

Bummer that the jacket didn't work out! If its the same brand as mine, it's Gibson.

Late here, but I love the booties and boots--I think the wedge heel on the MK booties is fab, and the tall ones seem to fit you beautifully.

I love the Miz Mooz boots - definitely keep. I actually really like the toeless Vince Camuto's but if you're on the fence about them and not really sure, then I would pass. No need to buy a pair of closet orphans.

Something told me Jonesy would love the MK booties (and I love your shoes so much I'm thrilled at the approval). I'm getting the Clarks too for a real compare and will fully fashion both before deciding (and will probably end up with both if I know me)

Rita you are the bag queen. I actually looked for your fab Rack bag too, but there was nothing even close.

Janet - they only had the Gibson one in grey (I have a grey knit blazer), this one was a a different brand and a little more cheaply made than that one which is probably why it didn't fit so well.

The MK wedges are fab. I love those because they seem to fit your sleek style. I think the fit of the MM is perfect!

I like them all. Will the #1 shoes bookend your hair, a definite plus? Sometime it's hard to see color in photos. I would have guessed the MMs were black for instance.

Well, I like them all, but if you want a nude, you want a nude. RE: sweaty feet, I really have to have leather linings for my sandals nowadays. Even for strappy ones. For the others, I think wedges are always in style, and the boots are just fab, fab, fab!

I like the booties and would like to see the Clark's for the sake of comparison, plus it will make you all that more sure of your decision.
