K/R Red shorts? Grey tights?

I've never actually owned a pair of shorts before - I'm a little funny about my bare legs, since my knees get cold easily (yes really, lol). But I happened to be wearing grey tights when I tried this pair on in the dressing room & I actually quite like the effect. What do you think? Would these work with other tights too?

PS - Is the fit of the shorts OK? (since I have no frame of reference for how shorts should fit, lol) Thanks!

Those are great on you. Fun color, nice fit. They work well with the gray tights, but try some others, too, and see what you think.

Thanks, ladies! Só the fit looks OK? I can't quite tell from behind (can you tell from these photos how hard it is to get a backwards angle in the dressing room, lol?) They don't ride up or pull when I sit down or bend over, so that should mean they're OK, right?

@Kathie what other colours do you think would go with these shorts? They're sort of between tomato red & orange, lol.

@rachylou Thanks - with the short hair, I feel almost a little like quirky French chic in this outfit, lol. Might work with black ankle booties, too?
