I like it but going to suggest holding out for the Black Watch plaid.

Interesting. Normally I get irritated by mismatches on plaid but it doesn't bother me here. I like it. You look comfortable in it.

Julie - that image was so funny! No bank tellers in plaid in the US or Canada that I am aware of. I think the cut of Una's jacket is different, too.

I'm kind of like Julie - I like it but I don't love it. However, if anyone can pull this off and not look Christmas-y, it is you. Will it be a versatile enough colour combo for you?

And Julie, I really REALLY wish you hadn't posted the link to the Tripp moto jacket - GORGEOUS!!!

My Mom dressed my sister in I in matching in plaid dresses for Christmas for probably my first twelve years. So for me there is always strong Christmas associations, especially in red. But the fit looks really good on you.

I like the jacket, but I don't love it. It fits well, but the quality is not there with the plaid not lining up. Makes me wonder where else they skimped on quality.

Question is: Do you love it?

If you are only allowing 12 items into your closet this year, is it really worthy of being one of those 12? I don't think so, but only you can know that for sure.

Are the pockets zippered at the top? I cant tell exactly from the photo if it is a zip or just the yellow line of the plaid? If yes KEEP, 100%! If not, I do like it... but you seem to me to be a gal that loves when there is a little unexpected element.

That's a fun jacket!

It's ok, but not fab. Plaid and stripe matching are very important to me. Love your glasses, though!

I agree with those who say they like it but don't love it. If you want to add more than one plaid jacket to your wardrobe, then this one fits you well and could be fun. I don't think it is too Christmasy. But if you want to limit yourself to one plaid blazer, I think you can do better. I would love to see you in one in navy/green/black tones rather than the red.

I think it's KILLER.

So I guess I confused you even more. (I don't have Xmas associations with red tartan).

Thanks, everyone! *head spinning* Yes, the pockets are zips, and it closes with a single hook & eye closure.

Angie has thrown me for a loop here (XOXO Angie)! I will come up with some styling options - which is really the important thing.

The matching lines are not a dealbreaker for me with this piece. My worry was more the holiday association (which I don't have either, but I know can be there.)

90s bank teller = pretty funny!

What was interesting was to compare the quality of the Cut 25 and see how small it ran... also, the sleeves were supernarrow on top but way too long and baggy everywhere else. Designer fit is sometimes all wrong for me...

Sorry Una, I think I should keep my nose out of tartan threads, it is not that I have a poison eye (quite the opposite) more that tartan has such cultural and ubiquitous status here that my view is warped. Please do not take on board my comment

XOXO
