K/R: oversized watch

Just received this oversized Ted Baker watch that I ordered recently. What do you guys think? It's VERY big (shown next to my teeny Seiko for maximum effect). Do you guys think the size is good, or too big for me? I don't have anything else nearly so large. The face is mother of pearl and silver, and the band is magenta leather. It's quite heavy, but seems to stay put all right.

I vote yay! I LOVE big oversized watches, and am wearing one of similar size today. This one looks lovely.

It's cute! Can we see a full body pic? I think that would better show whether or not it looks disproportionate or does anything weird to your arm/wrist line. Unless you aren't worried about that... I am really picky when it comes to wrist candy.

Rae, no full body photo right now as I'm wearing no-photo loungewear right now! But I think the proportions are fine since my big cuff bracelets are bigger than this.

Angie, I'm not sure I can wear it much looser because then it slips down below my wrist bone and I find it terribly annoying to have my watch (especially one of this size) banging around on my hand. I might be able to go one hole looser but not much more than that. Does it look too tight in the photo?

Diana, if you're worried about too loose, but decide to keep (I voted to!), how about adding an in-between hole? A cobbler could do easily it, or you could just gently attack (Ha!) the band with a knitting needle for an awl!

I love it. I think when it's not next to the other watch and in full body context it will be much more apparent how great it is. It took me awhile to get used to a large watch after wearing a small one for so long, now my small one seems so insignificant and puny.

It has my vote. I like it! I'm not usually a fan of oversized watches, but this one looks really nice--especially the face.

Thanks, everyone! I think this is definitely a keep. I think I will have to get used to the larger size and heavier weight though, since it's more than twice as big as my next largest watch! But I figure, if I'm going to go oversized, I should go all out!

Manidipa, one of the great things about this watch is that it actually has a TON of holes in the band and they are quite close together so I think I can adjust the tightness slightly.
