K/R Olive Balloon Pants

I try to buy Petite pants, and even then usually need to hem them. These are regular sized and can’t really be hemmed due to the darts at the bottom. I’ve rolled them in the photo with the Heattech underwear (sorry).

Is the small fold between the waistband and pocket noticeable? Sizing up makes the seat way too droopy.

Olive isn’t my best color. These pants appeal to my crazy Go Big or Go Home sensibilities.

Not sure. They look sleeker on the model cause of the length, and they're laying flatter on the hip. I'm still adjusting though to the balloon style and haven't seen it irl.

I’m a big fan of this look, and believe it suits a womanly figure better than a straight/thin build. I like it best with the camp shirt, and I like how they fit you (longer) than the version on the model (which looks too short).

I have to be contrary here and say that they look a little short in the rise , which is making the pleats pull open slightly . I’d prefer to see this style worn with more ease ( in the garment ) .

I love the idea of them. But I, too, am wondering if they are short in the rise. It could just be the way you are standing. This is a fantastic style for you, though. It's just a question of finding the right ones.

I like them on you. The length seems good, I think it looks kind of awkwardly short on the model. I don't like the rolled up version as well.

They sit too high to my eye. Pants like this can be shortened, darts will need to extended higher and the bottom cut above the ankle.

These pants have a 12.5” front rise and 16” back rise so aren’t too short in the rise for me. Due to my pancake behind, I think the back rise may be creating a problem.

Fun pants, but not a 10.

I LOVE the shape of balloon pants; it's a trend that I'm all over. These, however, don't have your usual snap and edge; you wear trends so beautifully and manage to look crisp and wonderful in them. I think it's because of the drab olive color and something about how they're fitting in the waist/rise.

They have potential, DonnaF! I can see you rock carrot pants. These are not perfect though.

I'm with Lisa P. These look short in the rise, and are pulling a little at the pockets. You might be okay with that though, if they don't shrink in the wash, and you're comfortable.

I wear my own carrot pants looser, and longer in the rise. I do not like tightness around my crotch point, so I'm extra sensitive to that physically and visually.

I am returning the pants. With the color a little off and draining and the fit not perfect, it's a signal to return them. My weight is on a downward trajectory (losing about a pound per month due to increased exercise), so if they get marked down in a few months I may try again to see how they look at that point.

Finding the *right* green for me is difficult due to my coloring, but it's not as though I'd be running around nekkid without these pants! Being uncertain enough about something to post a K/R should tell me that it's a signal to return it!

Wearing cropped pants at full length is like a secret superpower for us petites I agree though that this olive doesn't do you many favours unfortunately. Olive is such a hard colour to find properly in trousers - I also need a deeper olive green to look right with my yellow undertones, otherwise it looks a little drab.
