I received two of the items I ordered from the sale. I am impatiently waiting on the burgendy pumps.

Picture #1 Bellefuer Houndstooth top with black skinnys.

Picture #2 Halagen skirt with the above mentioned top.

Picture #3 Halagen skirt with burgendy sweater. I always wear a cami with this sweater but for some reason did not put one on for the picture.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions are welcome.

These are Angie's picks from the sale. I don't know how she does it.

I think I like the new top with your skinnies more than the skirt; I'm not too sold on the length of the skirt - do you usually wear your pencil skirts at this length?

I love the top on you but the skirt does look a bit big and a bit long. Can you size down? It looks like an interesting texture and a good colour for you.

The houndstooth top is a keeper! I agree that the skirt looks too long - what do you think about the sizing? Size down, or hem?

I really like the houndstooth top. It is very pretty on you. I like the skirt too but think it would look best with a button shirt tucked and a topper. It looks classic and professional to me.

I'm sorry Deb but I'm not loving the second sweater.

I like the houndsooth top. The color and pattern are flattering.

I am not sold on the skirt. I am not sure if it would looks better shorter, or if it curved in a little. I do like the material and what looks like seaming to elongate.

If it fits across the waist and hips, then I don't think it is a size issue. I think this might be a return and hold out for something perfect.

I'm the odd one out. I like the length of the skirt and LOVE the doggie tooth top. Debbie, it will look as fab shortened so by all means go shorter if that makes you feel more fab.

The top is terrific! Like Angie, I do not mind the skirt's length but could go either way on shortening it. I love the textured effect.

I like the skirt in general. It's hard to tell, some of the length questions in the photograph may be due to the angle that the photo was taken from. I would like it best at a just-below-the-knee length, I think.

The skirt does look a bit long. It's creating a bit of a muffin top too, which the burgundy sweater is highlighting. It is a lovely skirt in and of itself though, and paired with the right top could be a real winner. I liked the houndstooth top best with the skinnies.

I am back again. I was thinking about the skirt again and realized that the reason I like it long is that it really works with your slim hips and legs and creates a nice long line. That is likely why I see it with a white button front and a jacket.

Dianthus thanks for chiming in. I am going to try the skirt with the button down and blazer. I will post when I try it.
The sweater I already had and thought I would try it with the skirt and it doesn't work.

Debbie, I like both pieces a lot! The houndstooth look so fab with your skinny jeans. I love the skirt. It's a very lady like peice. I would prefer a heel if you keep the skirt at this length and I think it would look just as good this lengeth or hemmed to the knee, I think its just whatever your personal preference is.
