K/R Nordstrom Vigoss destroyed skinny jeans

For Mo and myself I researched these jeans. First three shots in the dressing room.

1 -- in a size 28 for a slouchy skinny look. I could pull these all the way off my hips. I got the Bubba muscle trucker vest that I'm wearing here. I love it!
2 -- In a size 27 (which I bought)
3 -- Eek, the back view of the 27s. This might be cause for a return.

The at home test.

4 -- Rolled
5 -- Not rolled
6 -- Backside. Just from taking these pictures the bottom was starting to sag.

These are stretchy. I like them, not sure if I love them due to the back issue. It could be they are designed for much younger women with younger perkier bottoms.

Hey Denise - I think it depends on what type of look you are going for. Do you want a slouchy skinny or a regular skinny? To me, a slouchy skinny should still have a bit of a crotch drop - and I don't see that in the 27s - but it may just not be showing up in the pics. I like the pic of the 28s better because they look like the crotch is dropped a bit. Did you happen to take a pic of the rear view of the 28s? Also, where the heck did you get that vest?????? I WANT it! So. Cool.
FWIW - my slouchy skinnies slide right off of me if I don't wear a belt - and they aren't really all that slouchy looking - so, I don't think you should automatically rule out the larger size just because you can pull them off!

I have the same question as Marley: did you want slouch? I don't mind the back view, but I am not on team rr. I reaaaaaally love the vest - it has the length that suggests an oversized look, yet it is not bulky.

Good comments Marley and Rae. I don't know what I was/am looking for! I told Mo I would try these on, I was in a big hurry there was a man trying really hard not to hurry me on Valentine's Day but I could feel the pressure. I am going to SF next week with my Mom so I can exchange these for another size if that's what I decide.

I think the SA talked me into the 28s and I was afraid the 27s would stretch waaaaaay out, these being inexpensive jeans. So I thought the 27s would turn into 28s.

The vest is from the Brass Plum dept at Nordstrom, I found it when looking for the Vigoss jeans.

I am not a fan of the 28s from behind. They look like if you wear them for 45 minutes you will be able to grab huge handfuls of material off of your butt and speaking personally, that makes me feel super not fab. (Haven't yet reconciled this personal preference with the slouchy trend, but there you have it.) I think the 27s will settle in.

All that aside, I think the jeans (27s) are really really cute on you. I would keep them.

1. I've checked the photos first, then read your question. My first thought was "this woman can pull these off!"

2. Then I read your question whether these are made for younger woman... I say no, they are made for women who can pull these off. Please re-read point 1.

3. I am not keen on 28 back view, I like their front view, which brings me to Marley's question. If you're after slouchy skinny, then these don't work because of the back view which is simply baggy and unflattering, but I still love them on you in 27 as to me they project you're fun and you know what you want and how to wear it, and they simply work. Which brings me back to point 1.

Depends on your level of slouch (I like both for different fits) My vigoss do not stretch all that much. Slouchy skinny and BF jeans are not rear flattering by mere definition so if that's your concern it might not be your look (although I see no issue with your rear views here) I usually semituck with mine so the rear doesn't show much and then I"m on Angie's team front view.

I'm not a fan of the back view of either pair, I'm afraid, but if you want slouchy skinny, I would go with the 28's. I have the same problem with the rear view in jeans and I love your comment on perkier bottoms, I am going to have to steal that one!

I'm in love with that vest, such a perfect look for you. Can't wait to see it in some WIWs. I'm not 100% sure on the jeans. It really makes it difficult because you look truly fantastic in jeans (seriously, I'm so envious), and I think you probably make any jeans look great. From the front both pairs look really good. From the back, I think it is a function of the fabric, not loving the way it bunches. The fabric may be too flimsy. Wear them around a while and check them again.

To be fair - Denise isn't wearing a belt with the size 28s!

AND if you saw the back view of my slouchies and BF jeans, they look worse than this sans a belt. I do have a high slouch threshold though and do not bat for Team Back.

Denise, those jeans run really small! I'm glad you bought the size 27s because they look KILLER - although they are not baggy to my eye, accept for on the waist. They look tailored and not skin tight. I prefer that look and it's affecting my judgement.

I can't keep track of all the jeans you have! Are these a duplication?

First of all, LOVE that vest on you!

Second, the distressed jeans are incredible on you and will be great for your lifestyle. Either is good, but I think I like the 28's a bit better (sorry). They are so big on you that they make you look tiny inside them, lol! And the rear is so baggy that it's impossible to tell that yours isn't a 16 year old bum! In my experience jeans that start out too big do not stretch out with the same vengeance as a body con pair does.

That said, the 27's look very nice too, and show off what a lovely figure you have. I will not be mad at all if you decide to stick with these.

I like them, Denise. I actually like both sizes but I think the 27s are probably better. How does the fabric feel? How do they compare to your Camerons? Would they be different enough to make sense?

Speaking of the Camerons, I am strongly tempted to order the ones Angie has but I am not sure what size I would go with. I usually wear a 26 in the Gap jeans and also my DL 1961 and Bleulab jeans, but my "slouchy skinny" BR jeans are a 27, though (I bought not really knowing my size but it worked out well because they have more slouch that way.)

You can't go wrong either way, IMO. The 28s are definitely slouchier and that is a look in itself. If slouchy is what you are after, the 27s do not provide it. However, the 27s DO look fantastic - a proper fit and more tailored. They look great on you; they just aren't a slouchy look, which is fine as long as that isn't what you are going for. I think you made the right decision to keep the 27s.

Suz -- you should definitely get a 24 or 25 in the Camerons. Although it depends on the wash. You can PM me because I have tried on many pairs.

Angie -- you are so funny, "can't keep track of all the jeans." I haven't ordered the Camerons which I pm'ed you about. I have a pair of Rag & Bone Sheffield jeans that I am *still* waffling over (return or not). I'm being PPP about this and do need to commit pretty soon. I want a slouchy skinny destroyed jean and a skinny destroyed jean. I already have plenty of bf destroyed jeans.

I wonder if that is destruction overkill?

And I don't mind the bad rear view of the 28s because they are supposed to be baggy. I am more bothered by a really lame rear view on fitted jeans. I tried to make my rear look "cute" in both of these pictures (standing straight). Lol.
