K/R: next try at Gap Chanelesque jacket

I saw this one while returning another version that was seriously off kilter in sizing. This one fits, in fact is roomy. It's made of a stretchy sweatshirt type of material and the price is good. I don't expect it to be an investment or statement piece. It's just a fun option to wear on a daily basis. However, for this style of jacket it seems to be too long (I'm talking about hem, not sleeves which are always too long). Seems it should be more cropped to me. What do you all think? Thanks!

Oh, how annoying... I agree it looks long and big, though I like the style a lot. If the size down doesn't work, there is one at Nordies that is a more cropped length, an unlined knit with faux leather trim... similar to the one Zap got at Club Monaco. I cannot find it online, but I think it is by Olivia Moon.

I couldn't find it on the website at all! Under New Items, Sale, any of the sizes. Arrrgh.

I really prefer it to the one I bought today: more structured, length was better, all in all looked classier. (Editing to add that it got about five pretty negative reviews, related to sizing and shedding issues.) But I'm not ordering 18s and 20s online to have them turn out TTS and be enormous on me. I have better things to do with my time than try and game their weird system just to do them the favor of spending my money on their stuff.

One more time, argggh. I should just take a shopping break, as if I've been successful at it recently apart from the killer sandals I bought.

Nope, Vicks. I'd related in a separate post that I tried on a 10 during Shoptoberfest that was (expectedly) way too small. So I ordered online a 14 and a 16, and both were as small as the 10! So I've given up on it.

Gap sizing and I do not get along either, esp. for jackets. I seem betwixt/ between. For pants I just have to try 500 pairs on in the same size to get a fit.

I can see that. But for me, there are usually not those sizes available in-store. Though yesterday they did have a 14. It was too small. The numbers seem completely meaningless anyway. I guess I could order an 18 or a 20 online, but if they happen to be TTS then I'm out of luck. I do have to waste time going to the store to return them.
