k/r new orleans cat house print

For me it is more the rise and length of them. I don't mind the print, except maybe the pattern placement on the butt, but they seem neither cropped nor PPL.

I think they are too wide at the hem for this length - perhaps tapered more? This is such a hard style to pin down, and I really want to know how it's done, so will be following along!

yes to mo and una, i think they need to be shorter to show the ankle bone and narrower taper.

I agree with others -- I think it's the length and leg shape that is the main issue here.

I think the print is nice, but even if the length was different I'm not sure the pants would work - the fabric seems really stiff, which can be tricky to fit. If this print was on a pair of slim fitting jeans - it would be great.

I will suggest its all in the styling! I actually love them:). BJ are you tall? If so, with the correct proportions, I think these would work. Disclaimer: I have a soft spot for ankle length pants:)

I like the print, I just don't care for the length. To me they simply look too short.

Did you see the D Squared fall (or maybe it was pre fall) show? There were some great heavier materialed cropped pants whose length would look good with these. More of a mid calf crop, and certainly more tapered. I think Angie also posted some of them on the blog. I'm on my phone or I'd link for you, but I'm sure you could find it

I really like the print and the colors - fab! The length IS tricky, but I think hemming and some tapering will do a lot for you.

This fabric would look amazing in a jacket or vest! Agree with others about fit. I have put so mnay pairs of patterned jeans back on the rack, but I find Hudson does a nice pair, here is an example. NOt as ornate a print but they fit great.

OK, so I have a poisoned eye for this style of pants (ankle length, non-skinny leg, stiff fabric) and think they look frumpy on everyone, so I vote return. That said, I really like the pattern and color.

I'm sorry, I cannot get past the unfortunate placement pattern in the rear. It looks like you wet yourself.... the paisley is both dark AND shiny... right there... where you really don't want it.

I hope that doesn't come across being too harsh! I say Return and you can do better.

The sagging under the bum is what bugs me fit-wise (it's hard to avoid in tight-fitting styles like this, unless the fabric is very stretchy). I kinda like the print - I'm not a statement pant person but I think you could make this work with the right top. Now, whether it's versatile and/or awesome enough for your wardrobe, only you can say....
