K/R Naturalizer Shoes

I bought these Naturalizer shoes today, thinking they would look nice with jeans. But now I'm wondering if they look like something my 89 year old mother would like. They are two shades of grey leather. What do you think? Please be honest.

I'm not sure. If they were two shades of blue (which is what my computer thinks they are) I think I would love them. Gray...not so much but I'd have to see them on. They look comfy.

My computer thinks they are blue too, but I think it would be easy to edge into granny with these shoes.

They look blue on my computer as well. Can you style them with jeans and take a pic of it? I can see how they can go matronly pretty quick.

Thank you for your honesty. OK, I'll try to style them. I was thinking with jeans, a pea coat and a turtleneck sweater.

I think they might work with jeans if there is not too much shoe showing- would like to see a pic with your jeans too.

They look blue here also. I love gray shoes as they seem to play well most of my closet. Now, about the possible elder shoe look issue: are they mega-comfortable? Do they work with some of your clothes for casual wear? Is it hard to find shoes this comfortable?

95% of my foot wear pleases my sense of style and has enough comfort to be serviceable for the intended purpose. This is a big accomplishment given how fussy my feet are. I have a few pairs of mega-walking/travel shoes that read Euro-frump to a degree, but also mean I can hit the cobblestones hard for hours. I need them.

Each of us has to weigh these needs and wants out. Styling would help to assess this pair, as will your comfort factors.

I think they could be tricky( big shoe expert here). What Eliza said. If I were thinking these shoes with jeans, I would want to be thinking, why these shoes and not one of a dozen other styles that would make me look really modern? Because in some ways you can wear anything with jeans, so is there a purpose that led you to these?

Maybe the easiest solution to the problem is to ask your 89-year-mother if she does indeed like them. :^) Then you'll know whether to keep or return.

They read blue to my computer screen as well. They remind me of the Joseph Seibel Caspian sneakers, sort of.

Maybe try them sockless with rolled BF jeans? That look might work for warmer months. Honestly, I would have to see them styled before making a decision.

Here is another picture. (Sorry the quality is so bad. I just got a long mirror and the lighting isn't very good.) These are just the jeans I was wearing today.

The shoes really are grey even though they look blue in the picture. I agree, they remind me of the Josef Siebel Caspian. Maybe that's why I bought them.

They seem comfortable. I used to wear Naturalizer, 30 years ago, and their heels were comfortable.

I really should ask my mother what she thinks of them!
