K/R: NAS purchases and question about Dre jeans

These are my two other purchases. The layered sweater is a more casual version of the one I have in black and white. I'm not sure of this color on me. This version also runs a little smaller than the other one.

Second, the Rag & Bone Dre jeans. I wear anywhere from 26-28 in this brand, and these are the 28. 27 felt too small. How much will they stretch and do they look like keepers?

I'm not a fan of the sweater, but do like the jeans on you. I just feel this side zip trim on the sweater , faux piece underneath etc has been done to death - and the colour is kind of meh - if you know what I mean. Just a personal thing I have with these sweaters.

I bought a pair of those jeans last year when they were not on sale. I was able to wear the smaller of the two sizes I usually wear. I find them to be very comfortable and now they are my "airplane" pants as well. They haven't stretched too much on me--nothing like NYDJ, for example.

I think they look really good on you.I don't love the sweater on you, but I'm not much of a fan of this style.

I say return the sweater. The jeans look big to me but it just may be the pic.

Yeah, I'm also feeling there's too little sweater, too much trailing shirt.
I don't have good recall of your wardrobe but surely you can borrow a variety of your son's flannel shirts if you don't own any.

i like the way the jeans fit….i own the dre's, they will stretch, but they don't grow…(doesn't that make sense?). I'm with the other, sweater is nothing special.
i saw these booties, and thought of you, although they may not be weather proof enough for you.

They both look good to me. The sweater goes with your sunnies nicely I found my side zip sweater hard to style,and hard to know how far up to unzip the zips! I do kind of like the looseness of the unzipped zippers...
It looks like you could go down a size on the pants, unless they're too tight in the back?

I really like the camo and jeans outfit.

Thanks! I actually love this sweater style - it's not a zip, it's a version of the one Angie has in black and white. But I'm not sure of the color. Thanks for the input so far - it's helping me decide!

I like the sweater. I think maybe that shirt is a little too long for it.

Love the jeans! (And the camo tee!) The fit looks good to me. I am usually a 27-28 in jeans but take a 29 in Rag and Bone. I have tried the Dre (and definitely needed a 29). So I think the brand runs smallish. (Or maybe the others run big!) My R and B skinnies are definitely more comfortable than when I first bought them. But I would say they have loosened up, rather than stretched out. I have other brands of jeans that have stretched much more.

I like the sweater by itself. I think the long shirt underneath is what's throwing the outfit off balance here. Try it with a few other tops before you decide.

I like the jeans too. They look a bit lose but I feel that's what you were going for? Comfort and slouch so you aren't wearing a pair of skin-fit jeans? If so, I'd keep them.

kkards, psychic pick! I have those boots in brown from a couple of years ago. They are amazingly comfy with the wedge and really cute on.

The sweater and shirt are attached so no options there. Sounds like the color is a no but I am going to post one more pic just in case. I have worn the Dres around the house and the description that they stretch but don't grow is perfect! I think they are a keeper. This brand is a good one for me. Hudson is not.

Love the jeans. No experience with the brand.

The sweater is a bit tricky; I think the dominant cream color is a bit unexpected on you. That make for a good or a not quite right piece. It seems that it holds some appeal for you, though. I have the black white version of the sweater and find it a good closet addition, as I like its weight and structure. No help at all!

I think the jeans look a bit big. I have Rag & Bone skinnies and I find that they stretch out and need to be washed to shrink down again. I like the color of the sweater for you.

What UmmLila said about the Dres. I'm usually a 27 and have last year's Dre in a 26. They are snug but not tight when I put them on. They stretch out pretty quickly to a bit of a slouchy fit. Like UmmLila, I wash them between wears to shrink them back.
I looked at the sweater today..I'm not a fan.

Hey Una! The sweater feels like there's too much shirt at the bottom and the color's not perfect.

The jeans, on the other hand, are all kinds of fab.

I like the sweater style but the contrast is a bit shortening of the lower body. Perhaps if the shirt was the same color as your skirt or pants then it wouldn't do that.

The jeans look like a good fit. They are BFs right?

Okay, the jeans are staying. Here's one more pic with the layered sweater in case it changes anyone's mind; otherwise, back it goes. I actually like the tunic length but reactions here seem to say there's a proportion issue.

Oh love love love the jeans. I don't really have a problem with the sweater. For me, I find that the top looks quite creamy whereas your hair is more silvery now. So it might be a warm/cool thing, to my (highly untrained) eye. But the outfit is a great casual outfit. Maybe its the red plaid that's throwing me. But I've seen you in plaid? Hmm. Not sure. Totally up to you. If you are feeling it, then keep it.

Just saw this post and weighing in late. I sized down on the jeans coz my last pair of Rag & Bone grew gigantic the moment I cut the tags off. This pair hasn't stretched after wearing around the house all evening. Something in the brand's composition must have changed so now I have a pair of boyfriends that are more like little brothers.

Wanted to weigh in on the sweater, though as I like it. The neckline is throwing me slightly, maybe it's the stark white and higher crew? Might you wear a scarf or necklace to break the line? I rather like the longer shirt proportion on this, I prefer it to the Trouvé sweater that was offered in Spring, which looked too shrunk-in-the-wash to my eye.

I think the jeans look a bit too big. Not sure if you are going for a real slouchy look, and if that's the case, they are ok.

I'm not a fan of the sweater.
