This is the Joie 'Anelie B.' turtleneck sweater, one of Angie's NAS picks. It was a very warm day to try this on; thus the seasonally-confused styling of a warm sweater and sandals.

Is this a keep for me for fall/winter? I have my opinion but will save it until I read your opinions.

Please note the little lump in the back of the sweater is from the tags, not from the fit.

Also, would you fold the sweater's neck down twice, as in the first photo, or just once, as in the third? I'm not quite sure; there's a lot of fabric.

(The wrinkles in the back of my jeans were a revelation; amazing what shows up in those rear shots!)

I think it fits. I like the collar in v 3. Do you like it to echo the color of your hair?
I would like to see you in a solid before I make a comment on this tweed. I tried this sweater too. It does have a lot of fabric.

Thanks, QUIETGIRL--interesting distinction between a solid and a tweed. Do you think I should try a solid grey? I, too, am not sure about the "color echo" with my hair. I've been trying the sweater on for several days, trying to decide.

K--good to know about the neck.
If I keep it, I could imagine wearing it casually with blue or black jeans. I
would also wear it to my somewhat-casual workplace with navy, black,
or grey dress trousers or perhaps a pencil skirt. Do these all seem
do-able to you?

Well, I love it. I might want to see it in a larger size, actually, for a bit more fluidity. But it's a lovely sweater and the tweedy grey is fabulous with your hair. I prefer the collar as in photo 3. You are blessed with a long neck -- it showcases turtlenecks very well, so go for it!

I like it! And I like the neck as in v. 3.

I get a lot of wrinkling on the back of my jeans too. But I do think these jeans look marvelous on you. The work outfits you mentioned above sound great.

Neck up - or folded once ....and I like the colour. Agree with Suz that a bigger size might give you a sense of luxury and fluidity. But you're lucky to be able to wear a turtleneck like this - so go for it!

SUZ--I kind of love it now, too--it's funny, but when I first tried it on, I didn't like it. I'm not sure why; I guess it was somehow different than I had expected.

Interesting that you and LISAP both suggest trying a larger size.

I love it!
I think sometimes it's hard to imagine cozy sweaters while it's still summer, but I bet you'll reach for it all the time once it gets cold.
Definitely only fold once on the T-neck.
That sweater was on my "want" list on the NAS, but I could only get so many things. Now you're making me wish I had bought it!

It looks like it fits well. Neck fold in three is most flattering. Like Suz, prefer a touch larger. What do you think about that?

Ps. Nothing good comes from looking at the back. If i were meant to see it, it would be called the front.

I think it will look very nice for a work sweater, especially when you add earrings. A scarf could add color if you want, or a necklace with a skirt. It will be comfy in the winter with jeans as well. It's nice that the sleeves are long enough to wear down when the weather gets cold.

The color is great on you. Neck worn with only one roll.
As-is it looks like a casual sweater. Sized up might look more trendy-slouchy and could actually read more dressy or smart-casual to me (because of greater drama and not like a typical turtleneck.) Sometimes I can't size up 'cause then the neck will be too droopy or the fit is way off elsewhere, or it gets too long for skirts, say.. It depends on how you want to wear it and with what bottoms.

Thanks, SWEET PEA! Yes, I will definitely wear it with earrings or some other accessory. And I love the sleeve length on my long arms.

Very nice! I like the color echo, and the size. I'd only fold the neck one time. If you size up, there will be even more fabric around the neck to deal with. Your neck is so pretty and swan like, so this really sets it off.

Love the colour and style on your slim figure and against your silvery hair. It may be worth trying one size up just to compare and to see how you feel about a slightly looser fit. Not that there is anything wrong with this closer fit. I like the roll on the third photo but you can mix it up. Dress it up a little with an accessory, perhaps a long necklace or a scarf. It's a keeper!
