I love both on you, and the way you've styled the jacket is perfection. It may feel like ALGO, but when its styled like you have, its a statement not TMGO. Hang it somewhere very visible in your closet for a couple of days and pay attention to your reaction when you lay eyes on it. Does it make your heart sing? Cringe in regret? Your visceral reaction might be the key.

You look absolutely stunning in the jacket. The cut and style are divine. I also agree that it has to feel right to you. The MK top seems like a no-brainer. Just perfect.

I have to run to meet a client, but I HAD to chime in quickly to say:

KILLER to the power of KILLER for your NL jacket with the white column of colour. WOW!!! Spectacular!!!

But if it's too bright and bold for your tastes, Vicki - return it.

You are sublimely beautiful in *all* of these outfits. You have KILLER style and rock my style world

MK shirt is perfect! Good to see it in action.
I like the blazer but my first thought in pairing with the blue skirt was it looked very 80's - that is so how we wore suits then. But it works with the pants in every combination. I think a denim or chambray shirt would be fun too. It's beautiful on you but agree that you have to love it more than another option.

Wow, love the jacket in all iterations!!! But return if it just feels wrong....

The striped t is fab!

I love the jacket (ha, and I know how hard Angie's made it now with her rating). It fits so well, looks crisp yet wild and fun, and you've styled it beautifully and it doesn't wash you out or do anything to compete with your attributes. You have the perfect build and small waist to do it justice. So now, what to do? Give it a few days to think about it? Can you think of better pieces you'd be getting for your money? No help from me, I'm afraid!

*plonk*

I swoon!

I may have to send my NL striped jacket back because it just plain doesn't look as good on me as it does on you!!

And I love the MK top, too!!

I love each of these pictures of you! I like the jacket every way you styled it, but I agree that you don't love it, return it. I also love your new top, too!

Hello my wonderful, wise women! I have to scoot to get my hair lightened and will return to comment, but I must share that when I opened the box, I didn't like the "look," BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, when I put on the NL jacket, I LOVED IT and I felt very happy in it and stylish.

So, truly, the feeling was one of delight once it was on. Yet, I want to make sure I can wear different "columns of color" with it in my usual way. Angie, you've given me a sense of calm and peace of mind here and I will play around with a few more combinations. MK is staying, thanks to all of you! I'll share more later, but the roots need some highlighting!

Hi Vicki -- I have to chime in because I bought this jacket as well and, like you, wasn't too sure about it until I put it on. I'm a newbie at bright colors, so this one is on the edge for me. Mind you, I don't look even a smidge as spectacular as you do, but there is something about it that is keeping me from sending it back just yet. I styled it the same as you -- with a column of white, and I think I like that best, though I love your blue shirt under it too. If you are comfortable with it, keep it because you look fabulous in it!

Vicki, I am glad you're holding onto the jacket because it looks spectacular on you. I know what you mean about feeling like something is "too" whatever for you, but you are clearly in control here with this amazing piece! And the MK is a no-brainer keep for sure.

You are so incredibly elegant, I can't stand it!

I'm glad you're keeping the NL jacket because it's gorgeous on you and fits your fun personality to perfection! Yay, it makes me happy seeing you in it

Hooray, you're keeping it!

I predict you will get compliments every single time you wear it.

I'm sure that your hair looks beautifully highlighted. Now your new loot will look EVER better - if that's at all even possible

Stunning! I LOVE it on you and am so glad you are keeping it. I like it all the ways you've styled it. YAY!!! Love the MK top, too!

yay! I'm really glad you are keeping it; it's really spectacular!

And the jacket looks different in all the outfits you've tried (yet is a statement piece in all).....so it's really very versatile!

Ramrrr, Andrea, Lyn, Deborah, Jj, citygirldc, tatee, dianthus, Zap, lyn67, Shannon, Suz, Kyle, Joy, Alicat, Mary, Amy, lynne, morethanbeige, Isis, Mochi, Jem and alaskagirl and Debora thank you for your positive feedback on the jacket and I will sit with it for a few more days and see where it takes me. I think, as some of you have suggested, to hang it up, let it be visible and see what kind of visceral reaction I get is an excellent strategy.

Angie, there’s nothing like a K to the power of K to make my day, especially because I’ve been feeling a bit down about aging, even though I know “aging gratefully” is the best way to embrace it. Your words, and everyone’s here, are really heartfelt and appreciated.

MaryK, don’t you dare send your NL back. With your legs and beautiful colors in skirts and slacks, you’ve probably already got hundreds of variations.

Anne, Jewell and Cobaltblue, the ALGO theme is something to work with perhaps and that's why I haven't quite let go of the jacket just yet.

DonnaF and Christieanne, yes, your 1980 vision was also something I was experiencing, too, when I was in a skirt, which threw me off! Classically casual, the colors are strong, but alluring and hopefully not too overwhelming. Rae, I can see what you say about the colors overwhelming me; good advice on the lighter colors...if I HAD them! Yes, I tried a dark denim shirt, but my denim capsule is missing lightwash jeans and I REALLY need some and would love to get a pair. CAN WE GO SHOPPING TOGETHER AGAIN???

Beth Ann, I like your thoughts on signature items and moving more into them; that’s why this is pushing new territory for me. Goldenpig, statement pieces inspiring love gives me reason to keep pushing the envelope here.

Sarah, that's well stated on the Theory comparison, which is probably more in my comfort zone, but putting on this NL did give me a good feeling other than the very strong shoulder line, which I’m not used to seeing on me.

Jonesy, what a keen observation on the IT look with the placement of the stripes and, yes, the look of the strong shoulders is what was giving me pause and you found the reason for it. Brilliant!

Jamie, thanks for your similar feedback with the NL jacket, now that you have one, too. Interesting, isn’t it once you put it on? Glad to hear from you and I’m sure it’s lovely on you.

Aida, I'm so glad you chimed in, because I know you've seen me before and that makes me feel good and gives me some solid grounding.

I'll keep you posted on my progress. YLF friends, you are a treasure, and I mean that, very deeply.

We would all thankfully look half as good as you at your age, Vicki. Truly.

Vicki, it is a lot of jacket but you look beautiful in it - especially with white. Gorgeous!
The top is great too. You styles everything to perfection!
