K/R: my white trousers sequel: are you tired yet?

White Express Editors awaited me at home when I came from work!
Without many words: here are the pictures for your judgement.
I sized up one size. They are too big in the waist (see in pic 1, I used safety pins to keep them in place) but I think my mom can alter the waistband easily. I am wearing them with my highest heels (2.5") and they are too long - YAY!
Do they bunch too much on the back? I don't want them tight but I also don't want them too baggy. Is it not acceptable or OK?
I like the fabric: it is more lightweight than my pin stripe taupe Editors but still substantial so ideal for summer. They are washable - a must for white trousers!
I am wearing them with Shimera boyshorts and they seem OK with them, no VPL - or am I kidding myself?

Yay! Looks like you can wear (buy!) 3" heels if you want. What do they look like from the side?

Drat, I did not take that angle picture:-( Off to pull out my camera again...
ETA: too lazy to go through picture taking process again but I put them on and looked at them from the side: the fit looks good there.
So it is really the rear view I am not sure about...

Sveta you really rock wide leg trousers. I LOVE seeing white wide legs on you, so fabulous looking! I am not sure on the rear view fit, hopefully those who know more about trousers (I struggle myself) can chime in for you.

I think they look lovely. I love that the legs are loose enough that they look breezy and light, but the top is (errrr will be) fitted enough to really define your waist and bottom. I voted definite "yay!"

I will take them to my mom tomorrow for the "pro" assessment. Angie, you think waistband and hems should be enough to make them fit - do I need to look and taking the thigh area as well?

Start off with the waistband - it might effect the way the thighs fit.

What I also like about these trousers that they have small welt pockets in front: no bunching and no need to sew them shut!

It bothers me that I can see the center seam in the rear view... but I guess I am the only one. I live in terror of see through pants, so take that for what it is.

The fit looks like it will be nice once your mom has at them.

I like these white Express Editors on you, Sveta, and the wide leg trousers look spectacular on you. Just get Mom to do her thing and they will be ready to go. As you said, washable whites is the best of all wardrobe worlds.

The thigh might shrink a bit after first wash and dry too - with white you don't want tight in any case right? Good for you to know that the Editors suit you as well since they always seem to bring out new colors and fabrics. Hurray for successful white pants!

I really like these on you. But, I do see some faint VPL. (Sorry and it seems I'm the only one.) Do you have a longer under pant with complete coverage?

Hurray, Sveta. So glad you have found a new go-to pant. My first, gut reaction was positive overall, followed by thinking that they might be a tad big. But agree, we don't want white pants to be tight. I'll bet a couple of stitches here and there will do the trick and then I cannot wait to see your creative styling in action. It boggles my mind to think of all the ways you will wear these. Hurray!

Yay! Your bootay looks sleek and fab in these pants! I can't see any show through. A nip and tuck at the waist and hems and they should be perfect. Do you wash them before the alterations? Just wondering about shrinkage.
