K/R: My first post with photos of me! Cuffed short shorts and two tops

Hi everyone,

I recently got these white and blue cuffed shorts. They are the same shorts (7 for all Mankind), just different colors. Do you think they fit me? I've never worn cuffed shorts before and am wondering if there's anything I need to pay attention to.

I also got the cream Ella Moss and burgundy (?) Vince tops in the photos. What do you think? The cream top will need alterations - taken in at the sides and shortened so I can wear them with jeans. I think I could wear the burgundy top with jeans as well! Do you think the burgundy top looks better tucked or untucked? Both?

hey there im a fan of cuffed shorts!!! let me say ..because im a bit flat from behind so this shorts make luck my tush good ....and for u seems pretty too ..the last one burgundy top untucked looks better

The shorts look great on you. I like both tops but agree you'll need to alter #4/5. It sounds as if you know what you are doing with that.

i love the shorts on you. I like both tops, but I like the burgundy one much better. The other does look as if it will need alterations, but it sounds like you are on board with that!

Welcome, and those shorts look great on you. I much prefer both tops tucked into those full skirts, as they are too long to be worn over them. That shade of burgundy looks gorgeous on you.

Looks like you're getting outfitted for summer. I love cuffed shorts and think these are great on you.

The burgundy top is perfect for warm weather. Is it possible to size down in the cream top? If not, I think alterations would give you a better fit.

Now, if that warm weather would only get here!

The cuffed shorts look great, and the fit seems perfect to me. I like the burgundy top a lot too - both the color and the style are very good on you. The cream top has potential but I agree with you that it will need some alterations. To me, it looks like the armholes are too large (this is a common problem for me too) so I'd suggest you try to shorten it from the top by taking up the straps rather than from the bottom.

Thanks for the welcome everyone Seems like the shorts and burgundy top are great. Unfortunately I can't size down the cream top, but I will head to the tailor next weekend to see what we can do. I will definitely look at taking up the straps - the cream top is a tad too revealing at the neckline for me as well.

Luckily I live in Northern California, so I won't have to wait long before wearing these pieces!

Yay on first photos! #6 is top of the mark for me (so I guess I vote for tucked ;>). The shorts are super cute, love the red top. I'm not entirely sure about the belt with the blue denim shorts, because they seem so casual.

So cute. I love the shorts outfits and think they will work equally well without the belt for a more casual vibe. I think the cream drapey top is gorgeous and will look fab when altered. I think it looks a little too voluminous (as is) with the skirt. The burgundy top is lovely on you and I slightly prefer it tucked.
