K/R My first Nordies Purchase!

So hard to believe that I put my order in on Sunday and I got half of it already!

Anyway, I really only want to keep perfect items, so I am lookign for your feedback.

Pics 1-2 are of the Bobeau peplum top in black. Not sure about the fit on this one. I am thinking I might need to try a size up.

Pic 3 - Bonus babay pic!

Pic 4 - Bobeau peplum top in stripes. The stripes material is very different than the material on the black top. Both are the same size, but the stripe one I think fits better. I am just a bit concerned it might make me look to busty.

Pic 5 - Nic & Zoe sweater in beet. I think the fit is good. I think It shows I have a waist. The v-neck helps elongate, I think. Just not sure this color is flattering on me given my coloring. I have tended towards blues and greens, and this feels like it might wash me out.

I would love feedback from you, and please, please, give it to me straight! I would rather keep looking than purchase something that I will end up donating instead of wearing.

You're right, I think #4 fits you better. Can you go to Nordstom and try the 1st one on in a different size? I can't tell about the sweater. What I have learned, though, is if I'm not in love with something when I get it, it won't get worn unless it's laundry day.

I think the black one works better on you than the striped one. To me, the striped one just has too many horizontal stripes going on - and when added to your delicious curves - makes it just kind of chaotic and confusing! I can't tell about the fit of the black one - is it puckering around the scoop neck in the front? Also, I think the sweater is a good fit - really emphasizes your waist - but, I'm not sure about the color. I know it is really difficult to see the true color in a photograph so I can't really say for sure if it looks good on you or not! I'm sorry I'm not much help!

LOOK at that hourglass figure! Sooo pretty! Size up in the black, IMO. The high contrast stripes do seem widening at the bust, and this size seems to be pulling a bit in the black. I think a size up would be perfecto!

For the sweater, it's hard for me to tell if the color washes you out or not, because there is a shadow sort of falling across your face.

Love the fit of the sweater! Like Rae, I can't tell all that well about the color on you. It looks nice to me, but pictures can be misleading for the good or for the bad. Is there anyone you trust to tell you whether it works? It sure looks like it works to me.

On the tops, I understand where you are coming from with the stripe top. The fit is nice. It does draw some attention to your top and your gorgeous curves. If that doesn't feel comfortable to you, then it probably isn't the right top for you. (I'd keep it for date night, but that's me.) The black is gorgeous, but I vote to size up too. I think it looks a little stretched in the front. Also, check transparency in bright light in front of a mirror. It looks a bit like you may need a cami with it. In that case, sizing up is pretty important.

Your accessory in picture 3 is absolutely adorable! Definitely a keeper.

I like both peplum tops, although the solid black is a little RATE (not that this a bad thing, I'm on Team RATE myself). I don't love the red wrap top. Too "aikido" for me.

I think you need to try the peplum in a size up in the black, however my concern is that it may be too big in the shoulers and neckline if you do size up. I actually love the striped version on you. The fit is amazing and it's striking. If I can be honest, you are large busted and while the black minimises that slightly (but only slightly), the striped version creates such a beautiful silhouette and lights your face. It's quite beautiful.

The red top is pretty but a little 'mumsy' looking to me. It doesn't read fresh, young mum on the go to me.

And your little one is just gorgeous.

I really like the striped top. I think the way the fluffy part of the peplum (?) falls makes your figure look great. If you are not used to wearing horizontal stripes, maybe it seems like too much (it is a very strong pattern), but it's actually really great on you. Sometimes when I'm not sure about a pattern or color, I will keep it in my closet and move it around where I can see different amounts of the pattern, and after a while, I feel more comfortable with it. Might be worth trying this, because it's really flattering on you in my opinion.

I don't love the red color on you. I think you need something brighter or darker, but this is sort of a medium tone that doesn't do enough for you. The fit on it is nice, though.

The black top is too tight right now.

Okay I'm back.

I also love the striped top. You have to keep that one. I am nowhere near as chesty, and I know just how difficult it is to find a striped top that works on chest. This one does.

Black is okay but pulling across the chest.

Red is pretty, but doesn't have quite the POW as the striped. Really, keep that one. Keep the kid too.

Congrats on the Nordies purchases!
I like both of the peplum tops but I would suggest sizing up on the black. I see what you mean about the striped peplum top and how it emphasizes certain aspects but I think you can carry it off and you'll be able to dress it up really nicely. With a skirt and some heels - wow!
I do like the red - I see it with a white cami underneath and with jeans or denim skirt.
Ultimately, though, you have to keep what feels right for you and you shouldn't keep anything you're not sure of!

I tried these on in the store and you look so much better in them! I know what you mean about fabric --- each color has different stretch and thickness in the knit. It really does highlight your waist. I usually wear a cami with a built in underwire bra under my knits -- not really "shapewear" (ugh), but a gentle smoothing layer.

I also like the colored sweater -- the length and the v-neck are very flattering, too!

I really like the striped top on you. I think it's the most flattering of the three.
If you don't mind, may I make one suggestion? You say that you think it makes you look busty. What type of bra are you wearing? It appears to me to be a seamless bra... I'm busty too, and when I switched to seamed bras it made a huge difference in how the girls look in knitwear. If you haven't already, go to Nordies and get a bra fitting and try on some good quality seamed bras. I promise the seams won't show through if it's a good quality bra (at least, that's what my experience has been)

I am actually wearing the Wacoal breast cancer bra. I had a fitting specialist at a local deaprtment store recommend it.

Unfortunately, the closest Nordies to me is over 3 hours away. I love their free shipping and returns!

Perhaps it would be worth making a special trip for just such a fitting! The girls really do need support.

I'm liking the striped one the best. The black one is nice, too; try sizing up for a better fit. I'm not quite sure what to think of the red one. Your daughter is so cute!

Thistle- my favorite Wacoal is the Retro Chic. It works amazingly on me (I am a 32DDD)
Nordies doesn't carry it, but Barenecessities does and they are offering free returns.

Just popping in to say that I've bought from Bare Necessities before too and they are amazing. They have a huge range of products and they really know them. They helped me find a strapless bra that actually worked for me. Amazingly, it wasn't one of the expensive line that I normally wear, but a very inexpensive one that was just made perfectly. It doesn't fall down and it has very firm cups to prevent show-through. I was really impressed that they knew their stock so well and didn't push only their most expensive products. It isn't quite as nice as an in-store fitting at Nordstrom, but it is just about as close as I've found and it is much much better than the fitting "help" that I've gotten at other stores, like Macy's.
