K/R: My first animal print flats (maybe?)

I am trying to be more creative in my shoe choices by dipping my toes (haha) into animal print flats.

Here are two for your consideration:

1-2. Slipper flats from Target.

3-4. Ballet flats from A2 by aerosoles via Kohls. These also come in a gray/black color which is a little more tame (to me at least) and may be more along with my comfort level.

They would be mostly for casual wear with jeans or shorts like in picture 6. Would they be ok with skirts as well? Are either of these decent enough to keep? Thanks for your input!!

I think they are both super cute - I'd go with the ones that feel more "you", since you're already branching out with the print.

I like the vamp of the A2 and I know from other shoes that they are comfy and last longer than Target. Plus the bow is cute

I like 'em both. I particularly like how the slipper flats look on your feet for some reason, but they both suit you. I think you'll be amazed with how many things you can wear animal print shoes. They're super fun.

These are both fantastic and either would work brilliantly - I say go with whatever ones are more comfortable for you.

Ohh I have shoe envy...again!
Love both of these - but of course it's not reasonable to purchase both pairs. You mentioned wearing them with skirts and jeans - personally I would go with pair #2. I like the ballet flat with skirts and skinnies. For more boot cut pants and trousers I would go with the loafer.

I'm leaning towards the A2 a little bit ... partly because of the low vamp and therefore less pattern. (I told you, I'm a wimp!) I think that's why I was also looking at the gray/black. It's less contrast and more subtle of an animal print.

Sarah, you're right about branching out. Last year when I started wearing skinnies and knee high boots, my family and friends thought I was nuts. I think with leopard flats, they might try to commit me. LOL.

The shoes in the first photo are more fashion forward as smoking slippers are the new ballet flats (I read that somewhere...). The smoking slippers are better for fall and winter IMO and the lovely ballet flats are more spring ans summer.

So, keep both pairs.

I like #2 if you are going to wear them with skirts. They seem to look better on your foot too imo.

You couldn't go wrong with either pair as they both flatter your foot. I like the coverage of the slipper flats with your jeans, but the ballet flats would look nice with a skirt too. Which pair is the most comfortable?

They are both cute and look great on your feet. I have several pairs of ballet flats that I love but the thing I like about the slipper flats is as that you can wear them without socks and then add a trouser sock when the weathers cooler, so could be a little more versatile since you can't wear socks with ballet flats.

I really like the slipper flats. How do they feel? Could you wear them all day? Arebthe comfy for walking?

Seems like there's no clear winner here. Makes it harder to decide!

Angie, thistle, and missvee, they are both pretty comfortable. The slipper flats are not as cushioned as the ballet ones. they also cost about half as much. I don't really want to invest a lot in flats that I may not feel comfortable wearing. These are my "starter" pair, and if I enjoy them, I can invest in higher quality ones later.

Our winters are pretty mild and I can envision wearing either flats well into november without my feet getting too cold.

Slipper flats, without a doubt. Much more current looking and I like the looks of them on your foot better than the ballet flats. I wear my slipper flats (I got some black and white houndstooth ones from Target) with skirts and dresses. I know they won't last for much longer than a season or so - but, I didn't want to invest a whole lot of money into a trend item, that may or may not hang around for awhile! Also, think of animal print as a neutral - you can wear them with any color.

I'm not sure why but the slipper flats look better on your feet. Seriously they look great, and I am not a big fan of the slipper flat look!

I love them both.......ohhhhhhhh so cute.

I have one flat like above in my wishlist for quite sometime, but I don't find my size here at all. I found only those platforms which broke my leg only seeing them. Leave alone wearing those sky high heels.

Wow, last minute surge of votes for the slipper flats. Thank you so much for all your opinions! I really appreciate them. I'm really leaning more towards the ballet flats because in my mind they are a little tamer. Neither one will break the bank ... maybe I'll keep both. However, I don't really need both and I'm not entirely sure how comfortable I am in them (emotionally). Ugh, I hate how indecisive and insecure I am sometimes.

I vote slipper flats as well. Especially since I have the same ones. But seriously, they look great on you. And since you are a little hesitant about the animal print, I would go with the less expensive pair to start out with. I bought mine a half a size larger than normal so I can slip an insert in them for comfort.

KathyL, we could be indecisive and insecure together. You are preaching to the choir here - I make myself crazy! Both look really nice on you, but you have said you have fussy feet. If the slipper flats aren't quite as comfortable and are more "out there" for you, do you think you would be less likely to wear them? Although you could always be glamorous like Deborah and wear them as true slippers : )

I like the slippers because they are less expensive and yet more trendy. But I like the ballet ones because they are more comfy and "safer". Decisions, decisions ...

I think the ballet flats would be more wearable with skirts, but the slipper flats do look very cute on your feet. Can you afford to keep both? If just choosing one, I'd say go with the ballet flat.
